david,
that was so cool . it makes me want to go
out and watch the movie again.
after seeing this right on interpretation i have to firmly believe
that this movie was channeled to stanley. the date 2001, the scene
where all the planets are aligned. wowee!!! i'm very intrigued with
all of the subliminal and out in the open refrences to the planet
saturn that seem to be out in the media lately. does anyone know if
saturn fits into the ascention process somehow?

haha, i rented the movie today, after seeing that. i'm going to try
and watch it with 'eyes wide open' :-d
2001 was originally a short story by arthur c. clarke, but of course
kubrick had his own take on things. i heard once that the monolith
was originally going to be a tetrahedron (!) but the monolith was
easier for some reason.
i particularly liked the point that "the glass is broken, but the wine
is still there" as a metaphor for our continuation when the body dies.
love and light,
graeme

how does the premise that the apes' curiosity caused evolution to create
human consciousness relate to the loo that our individual sparks of the
creator came to inhabit material bodies, with some adverse consequences,
later drawing the veil more fully over incarnations into human experience?
is there a premise in loo that our "tools" will similarly "evolve" into
conscious beings? (should we consider reincarnating as a computer? :-) or
are these some other entities? perhaps from orion influences?)
where did the "spirit" come from at the end that dissociated from our bodies
as we entered the next phase? was spirit in the ape originally?
and how does this ad hoc story of individuals in space relate to the future
of the billions of people incarnated in the world today?
and how does the transition of the earth itself relate to kubrick's premise?
the graphics are a good production, and the story is an interesting simple
fiction, but overall it seems more like a children's pre-school book than a
serious representation of the loo or a story equivalent to the peaceful
warrior as a representation of what we know from the loo. :-)

"you are free to speculate about the philosophical and allegorical
meaning of '2001'."
- stanely kubrick
personally this animation gave me clarity on the subject at hand..
