View Full Version : A Thought on Nyquist Sampling Theorem

Dear group,
I would like to share a thought/doubt on Nyquist Sampling Theorem as
applied to our percerption of the Universe. This theorem basically states that
in order to be able to reconstruct/perceive a vibration without armonic
distortions the receiver must be vibrating/sampling at least at twice the
highest frequency involved in the signal of interest.
Now, how does this apply to our interrelationship with the vibrations of the
universe? In DavidÃÃÂà ‚‚‚à‚´s work it is stated that there are seven principal main
chakra systems/energy bodies/frequencies/colours that makes every human being.
If one of these systems is not "working" right or vibrating at the proper
frequency, could the received vibrations/frequencies be distorted and be seen
as a different coulour due to the ALIASING effect?
Please let me know your thoughts about this.
Below is a link to a brief introduction to the Sampling Theorem and aliasing.

I believe that Nyquist has nothing to do with chakras, they're totally
different things: Nyquist theorem only refers to the reconstruction of
an analog sampled signal (for DSP purposes) and is determined by the
maximum SINGLE frequency (sinus type) that the signal has, or to the
line bandwidth. IMO, Chakras are vital energy vortexes and does not
have a single frequency, instead, their behaviour are much like a
system working synchronically around attractors (level of steady-state
energy according to chaos theory) that keeps an energy balance around
your body.

That's pretty clever! So if the theory is extended into the
perceptual and spiritual sphere, we can't perceive higher realities
and emotions in an accurate manner (or indeed at all) until we are
'vibrating' at a high enogh frequency ourselves? This would fit with
my experience in meditation and other practices designed to increase
my vibration. You experience a state, and then it goes and you THINK
you remember it, but it's only a distorted reproduction. Then if you
manage to get back to that state, it's AHA! Now I remember!

A chaotic system, contrary to the common belief, can be easily
synchronized with another one, all they need to have are the same
parameters and some way to be in "contact" (physically or not) to work
both as a single system (they do not need to be close to each other).
This is how they works in physicall systems (I'm expert in chaotic
systems). For example, some beaten music can induce your heart to a
tachycardia (an abnormally rapid heartbeat) because the pattern of the
low frequency compounds of the music are the same as your heart
pattern (in this case the "contact" is by your ears), or when you
drive by a long road with equally spaced trees on the sides where the
sunligh is passign through, you can be induced into an alpha state
because this frequency is generated by the trees (OFF) and sunlight
(ON) at certain speeds, and this could be dangerous because you are no
longer aware at the road: your brain is now synchronized by your eyes
(the "contact") and your surrounding environment (alpha state is for
meditation, not for driving), and so... every sense you have is able
to be locked with an external system. As a matter of fact, all living
systems shows a chaotic behaviour, and your chakras also do. This is
why some music, some visible patterns, some smells (like incense) and
even, some crystals, can induced to you into a deeper state through
meditation: they help you to synchronize with the pattern energy
specific for that stimulus, which may correspond to one or several
chakras.
