a little mouse in my path, weary and tired, collapsed
vulnerably on the step. i bless it and move it from
harm's way. what gift has it given?

vulnerability unites us. its intrinsic to life. part of
our purpose is coping with our vulnerability. it is a
transformational tool used by god. it can make us
uncomfortable - its the contrast knob for love and fear.
children show us this. we suffer the thunder of their
cries and enjoy the bliss of their smiles. the glory of
vulnerability is conquest; to face danger and emerge
transformed.

the reasons surrounding our vulnerability vary. they
may be known or unknown, selfish or not. examples are
infinite: from battling illness, being daredevils,
winning events, and also, saving things or being saved.

there's a prophetic image from china's tiananmen square:
a lone student standing up against a row of tanks. each
element has its own level of vulnerability, each has its
own reason.

how could your reason for vulnerability, help the world?
this is the gift of a mouse.

this little mouse epitomizes the meek.
this message, received yesterday, affirms the gift.

"within the child lies the fate of the future."
