Wow, Bev! I totally resonate with this story. I love it! I shall share my
story...it may not be overtly as profound as yours...but to me it was
awe-inspiring...
I was camping with some buddies...actually only one of which i knew very well
and was close with...we were at the beach, and one day we went to the ocean
(Pacific [it was Stinson beach actually if anyone is interested]) and it was
the first time i had been to the ocean and actually on the beach in ages...well
a few years at least but to me, taking this whole spirtual awakening i am
currently in, it was ages. Anyways when we were at the beach...and i got in the
water...i had an incredible experience in which i really connected with the
primordial origin-energy of the ocean...i was in the the spirit of the ONE
being...as the waves washed over me i felt NO separation...it was divine...and
by the
time my friends left the beach to go back to the campsite, i was hypnotized
by the beauty of the ocean...the sky...the horizon...the feeling of
completeness...i stood there watching the sunset for aobut 2 and a half
hours...my
friends had no idea what i was doing...actually i got pretty badly sunburnt.
when i
got back to the campsite i jsut got looks of confusion when i told them i was
just watching the ocean....it was great ;-)!!! Anyways i had a whole new
perception that whole day...i felt so good...and that night we were sitting
aorund
the fire...and it started dying down and suddenly i just felt this urge...and
i walked across the hot coals...and it didnt hurt at all...in fact i didnt
even rush myself, i took pleasure in the security of the moment...i did it
several times and like you i ended up with about a quarter size blister on one
foot...the other foot was untouched...it was amazing...everyone at the site was
amazed as well! it was such an experience...anyways...
The contrast of the hot coals and the cold wind and wet grass was very
energizing. I must tell you I made quite a few circles around the coals until I
felt ready, almost coming close to tears a couple of times as I contemplated
making the walk.
This is so very beautiful to me...thank youfor sharing your story! Love, me!
