I just saw this movie last night and found it quite amazing. I'm not going
to give away any exact details as to not spoil it for anyone. the main
aspects i wanted to talk about dealt more with metaphorical concepts
anyways.
A few of the main themes that stuck out to me were the fact of goldfish
growing larger when they are in a larger container, and when in a smaller -
they stay small. Another was short part about icebergs. Although they are
huge, we only see 10% - the other 90% is below the water and must be reached
through effort. Also to take the easy road will mean a much longer trip and
various aspects of your inner self may not show themselves and grow compared
to if you choose to take the longer path.
"Fish" also seemed to really push the idea of free will, and yet at the same
time having a pre conceived destiny. Basically the answer is inside of you
and the direction you CHOOSE to go in.
anyways - i HIGHLY recommend this movie to anyone. - Directed by Tim Burton
