sorry to see you leave, s, but your respect for the free will of others
is
admirable. i'd like to address some of your points just so i can say i at
least made an attempt to reconcile your viewpoint with the asc2k stance
on these issues. it's important to me since, not too long ago, i held
similar beliefs and have since changed my mind.

>>the ra material is sophistic because it gives credence to the illusion of

>>the false impression that personalities can serve other personalities,

we both agree - this world is an illusion, no argument there. where we
do
disagree is whether this is a good thing. if i understand you correctly, s,
you're
saying that *because* it's an illusion, it is bad, undesirable, to be
rejected and
escaped from. what i believe is that the illusion can be a tool to bring
out those
aspects of spirit that enable one to transcend the illusion and the karmic
cycle.

within this particular illusion, we do have tools called personalities
that we use
to gain experience so that we can grow towards an understanding of both
truth
and the illusion. while i agree that the ultimate reality and being rests
within the
spirit, this doesn't detract from the importance to be *where we are, right
now*
in our personalities in order to use the experiences here to grow. if we
can't learn
to serve other personalities, we can never learn to identify that nature
within
ourselves that has and always will exist, the spirit, that serves
indiscriminately and
with total love. no, the personality will never be as perfect as the
spirit. but i
believe that the personality can be the tool of the spirit, and by serving
others you
gain an insight into the nature of your own spirit. in a similar way, i
believe all
experience of the personality is a tool to be used in the search for and
identification
of the truth and spirit within us. by acting in accordance with that truth
and unity,
we reaffirm, even withing the illusion, that unity is the real truth, that
we are all
one. if we can believe and act on the premise that we are all one and are
all love
even when everything in the illusion says we aren't, then we have found that
aspect of a man that transcends personality and illusion by definition,
right?

>>in the illusion, if i, my ego, serves another ego, i am actually sts,
because all egos

>>sophistic, false.

you have not demonstrated that the ra material is false just now, s.
what you have
said is that it doesn't fall in line with *your* beliefs of how reality is -
which is fine, but is
an important difference.

ra never stated that his material was the one and only irrefutable
truth. he simply said
that he wanted to offer a different *viewpoint* on the truth. if you don't
find that
viewpoint helpful, then don't adopt it - but it doesn't detract from the
viewpoint's value.

in my opinion, the question of sts/sto is a matter of identity. either i
believe that we
are all really one, in which case serving the self *is* serving others,
since they are myself -
or i believe that we are all separate, in which case serving others *is*
serving the self (by
asserting control by a part over the whole). so everyone is always sts/sto
to a certain
extent; the difference is on the emphasis.

i would challenge you to consider the possibility that the illusion need
not be entirely
harmful, but could serve as a learning experience, regardless of what is
learned (sts/sto).

>>there are no individual souls, there is only one universal soul. there is
nothing to do, to >>achieve, all is already done and perfected. there is
naught for the illusory and separate >>self to do but die. this is
ascension or deliverance or remembrance.

is this really all that we're here to do, to die? could there possibly
be some *purpose* to
us being on this planet, in this illusion? is this whole world just a
mistake or could there be some
reason it exists and we exist in it?

these are questions that i asked myself when i first got into the ra
material, for i had previously believed along similar lines as you. i
challenge you to consider other possiblities.

>>it is apparent that i have been pointing to something that is beyond where
people on this list >>are able or willing to look, which is okay in a free
will system.

well, it isn't apparent to me that what you are pointing to is "beyond"
where we're at, but it's certainly different.

>>however, all those who are still
>>enmeshed in the great illusion of the separate self come the harvest time
will be very >>disappointed when the christ-spirit appears on earth in power
to dissolve every part of the >>illusion that they have cherished and built
up in their minds for so long.

agreed, but that doesn't mean that the illusion doesn't have *any*
value.

i urge you to take some liberties with your own beliefs and consider the
possiblities that are out there. i don't claim that anybody on this planet
has the whole answer, but there are lots of different vantage points from
which we can gain insight into the whole truth.

take care,

jeremy

what an awesome power, j. he hehe

stick around, cz. learning is good, even if it is only learning what others
think, and how to interface.
hell, you are gonna have to learn to get along some time.
so will the rest of you.
to learn oneness, you must understand separateness.
