to remind the observer of something spiritual and formless and ineffable by way
of communication to the inner (yet still unenlightened) levels of consciousness.
once one has been inspired or reminded, the symbols become useless and even a
hindrance, as does the raft once one has passed to the other shore. the wise
seeker of the divine mysteries does not get attached to them.
the point trying to be made here is that, for example, many people make sacred
geometry a lifetime study, or at least a pet hobby. they may become a teacher of
the subject, filling their lives and minds with a clear mathematical
understanding of their chosen field. and so in their attachment to its
delightful forms, they fail to find the living truth, and if they proceed to
pronounce themselves as spiritual teachers of men, they demonstrate the
classical blind leader of the blind. for only the divinely-illumined personality
(whereby the personality disappears altogether, including the conceptual mind)
can be a vehicle for the one and only teacher: divine spirit itself.
there are far too many spiritual chiefs in this world and not enough indians.
yet it is the case that more indians will attain the goal in this round than
chiefs, for "the meek shall inherit the [new] earth".
of course, the intelligent and humble study of sacred geometry may well be a
more valuable pursuit than, say, following the western materialistic religion of
consumerism and possession of 'things'. however, though symbols may *point* to
the truth, they are not the living truth itself, and so being less than the goal
they can and often do pose a great impediment to true spiritual realisation.
there are many proud sacred geometrists in the world, and pride is one of the
great obstacles to attainig the goal of life.
"whoever would be great must be the minister of all. the highest seat in heaven
is at the feet of him who is the lowest man of earth. i had a glory with our
father-god before the worlds were made, and still i come to serve the race of
men; to be the minister of men; to give my life for men." - jesus.
"if you would enter through the kingdom gate you must be humble as this little
child." - jesus.
"in this event we note a principle in life, that he who would exalt himself
shall be abased, and he who humbles low himself shall be exalted."- jesus.
without such a humility and love of god, which results in a spontaneous loving
service to the soul - not the mind - of mankind, no amount of sacred geometrical
appreciation will ever lead to ascension.
love knows all about sacred geometrical symbolism, yet in vibrating beyond all
concrete *and* abstract mental (causal) comprehension, it does not get caught up
in that which is only a reflection of truth. if it did, then god would become
deluded, as is mankind.
we all have a choice: to become enamored with symbolism or one or more of the
many rafts (teachings) or reflections of truth, or simply to just love god.
which do you think is the fastest most joyful route to the mountain top of
spiritual accomplishment?
