Thanks Mikey for your thoughts on Breathing and Breath...
I quite often find notes to myself in all my journals to slow down and to
breathe! Come to think of it, my most 'spiritual' experiences have always
involved breathing very slowly and deeply, being very relaxed and connected to
the breath. One was by doing a cosmic rebirth excercise with a teacher, the
other scuba diving looking at a coral reef... (Beginners especially are very
aware of breath while diving!)
Having studied voice extensively through theatre training, I found the breath
always to be a very important key in unlocking self knowledge and acceptance.
Not to mention unlocking creativity! On the other hand, I can easily say I catch
myself holding my breath when experiencing stress, anger and discomfort of any
other sort. Generally I'm very unproductive when short of breath, holding in
worry or stress. Once I finally breath it out, I can carry on...
It seems that the breath is one way to focus and come closer to the eternal now
and to experience life truly in the moment, to feel our connection to the all.
To be one. I'm sure everyone has observed their breath, the depth, the
steadyness and the calm that seems to flow through during meditation.
I'd be very interested to hear anyone else's thoughts on breath and breathing
and any other 'keys' to experiencing the oneness of everything. Even if they
seem obvious! I think sometimes it's the things we all know already, but said in
a differnent way or confirmed by someone else that let our knowledge sink a
little deeper.
Another topic totally... UFO sightings way up in Canada this year. Could just be
too much beer though eh? ;)
Thanks again Mikey,
Bradly
And in the end, the love we take, is equal to the love we make...
