David thank you for sharing such a heartfelt expressing of surrender, it is
quite a beautiful message indeed. I wish you and all many blessings on
your journey to the heart. With all this talk on surrender as of late, I
decided to post this little bit I wrote recently on what I feel it means to
accept yourself.

Accept yourself. What is acceptance? To accept is to allow. To allow is
to flow with whatever the moment brings. How do you flow? By opening your
heart and letting it grow. Allowing is surrendering to the mystery of the
unknown. What does it mean to surrender? To surrender is to let go. To
let go is to release. By releasing you become empty and transparent.
Emptiness allows the fullness and clearness of the Creator to shine through.
The complete surrender is a surrender of will.

What is free will? The freedom of will is the freedom of choice. You are
that which chooses. You are choice, you are the choice to choose. You are
the totality of the choices you have made. You are that which chose to
exist, to know. To choose is to differentiate from unity. In unity there
is no choice except the potential for choice. You are that which through
choice became aware. Awareness and choice are one. What is awareness?
Awareness is freedom. To be free is to be limitless. Awareness is the
boundless space of timeless being. To surrender your free will is to
surrender your awareness to limitless being. To experience separation is to
know separation. To experience all is to know all. To know all is to
become all. To become all is to become the Creator. To become the Creator
is to become unity. To become unity is to become one. To become one is to
become infinite. To become infinite is to surrender all boundaries and
limitations of self.

Surrendering choice is a choosing of faith. What is faith? Faith is a
feeling of wellness, an harmonious cooperation with destiny, guidance, and
grace. Faith is trust. Trust is an acceptance of a belief that all was
well, all is well, and all will be well. Trust is a knowingness that there
are no mistakes. Trust is the realization that you are experiencing all
that you desire. To live by faith alone is to stop trying to figure
everything out within the mind. Faith is to forever drop into your heart of
being with the full confidence that you are safe and loved beyond measure
for all that you experience and add to the whole. Complete faith is to
become absent within the presence of the One Infinite Creator (or as David
put it, to die.)

How do you accept yourself? To accept yourself fully you must face what you
find unacceptable. What do you find unacceptable? Whatever it is you do
not accept and wish to change, realize it is only a reflection of fear about
yourself. What is fear? To fear is to control and desire change while
acceptance is a surrender to the changeless. What is changeless? Love is
changeless, silent and still to the core. Not accepting a part of yourself
is to contract into the illusion of "no." To say "no" to the moment is
impossible for you are that which makes the moment possible. Without your
presence there is no present. You are the infinite possibility of the
eternal moment. To say "no" to the moment is still a choice. What does it
mean to choose? To choose is to say "yes", the moment is grounded by the
experience of "yes." Any choice you make is a choice embraced by "yes" even
when it comes out as "no." To accept is to expand, it is to radiate with
the feeling of "yes."

In the loving service of acceptance,
Mikey

Me: Very nice essay on accepting yourself, Michael. I especially
enjoyed the above narrative on Free Will. You express yourself very
well. :)

I enjoyed the entire piece, very much.

I wish, I was so good with words.

Loving regards
