Hello Everyone,

Firstly, I'd like to say that ascension2000.com has dramatically and
positively (polarity speaking) changed my life. Answers that I have
been looking for since childhood, I have found here (they are the
only answers out there that make sense to me!). Since we all know
David's reasons for making this information available, I can say
without a doubt he is a success.

Being a suspected Wanderer, I know I have a duty to find out if I am
one for sure. The tell-tale signs, synchronicities and frequent
coincidences are teasing me without end. Meditation is something
that I've always struggled with because I've read of so many
methods. When I do meditate, I always wonder if there is a better
way.

So I guess the point of this post is to ask of what meditation
methods are best for 'opening the channel' to higher wisdom?

Dear Andrew- the big, central point of meditation is to stop talking. Shut
the mouth. Stop the motion. Interrupt the seduction of consensus reality.
Start listening rather than talking within the self. Listen to what? The
silence. That's it. No big mystery.

It can be a long time, sitting in daily silence, before you experience
positive effects, since the body is not used to sitting and not doing
something. Nothing to watch, nothing to do- the body goes nuts. It throws up
thoughts. It offers headaches, body twitches, tummy woes, and visions of
monsters- that last is a good sign, as you are at least silent enough to
penetrate that lower edge of the metaphysical or inner planes where your
favorite childhood monsters dwell as thought forms, held in place by old
fears. All of these things you will get past, but it takes persistence to
repeat and repeat these silent times.

If you're brand new to it, just start with five minutes of silence. Some
recommend following the breath, in, out, in, out. The breath is always
moving, so that gives the poor mind a focus to keep it from jittering
around. Others recommend a mantra, such as "Om, or All is One, or something
personal to you. If you want the Guru effect of a mantra, open a beloved
inspirational book at random and point on the page that's open to find a
phrase designed for you.

Ideas, thoughts, worries, all will predictably come up into the mind. That's
fine. Watch them arise, watch them go away. Let them be, do not follow them.
After a while, you'll be amazed to find how circular and useless many
habitual thought processes are. That makes it easier to know the self that
lies beyond those old triggers and circular patterns of thought. The main
thing is to keep listening to that wonderful inner silence, in which the
Creator speaks with that still, small voice, too deep for words.

Good luck! It is a most worthy practice, one that has helped me out a lot.

L/L- wol
