Hi group,
I got this message from a friend who lives in London Ontario.
Louise
Thanks. Earlier I was working on a laser and as I was looking at it through the
infra-red scope ( the laser produces infra - red light and the only way you can
see if it's working is to look at the diodes through a scope like the military
has that sees infra - red) and as I was looking at the diodes (there are 16 of
them in three rows) they all quit. I have to assume that the storm knocked out a
switching device in the circuit.
It should be o.k. to use the computer, etc. at night when our part of the earth
has its back to the sun.
This happened to me once before when we had a solar eclipse together with a full
moon. It would probably help to cover sensitive electronic devices with aluminum
foil.
There's a new blaster worm coming. Saw an article in the Globe and Mail. Keep
your head down beautiful lady......
