isnt any one sad to think that they will ascend, and their family
will not, or do you all think you are a bunch of wanderers? plus,
wont all the animals on earth be killed?

well, in order to ascend, you have to embrace the concept of unity to
some extent: unity meaning we are all one, ultimately. so you don't really
leave anyone behind; in fact, you're attaining an awareness of being *much*
closer to them than you were on 3d earth, in a way.
> plus, wont all the animals on earth be killed?
there's more to living than living on earth. everyone has been, is, and
will be in the place they are supposed to be. faith in that concept allows
us to look at ideas like ascension without fear.
check out the books on ascension2000.com like convergence iii to learn
more about ascension. there will probably be some events that occur that,
from 3d earth perspective, seem like tragedies. but there is greater
purpose involved, and there always has been. besides, we can't make the
decision of whether or not to believe in the coming ascension simply because
we don't like the idea of bad things happening. know what i mean?

if one were not to ascend this time around, would it be another
25,000 years of 3d till the next opportunity?

for most of us.
it is possible to reach a state of awarness that would enable
one to ascend without the wait.
um, aren't you gonna make the decision to hang around like a
good lil sto and help the rest of us poor bastards?
your not just gonna take off and leave us, are you? ;)

um, forgot, death will get you there also.
this is what i'm kinda thinkin'. i'm thinking that we all have the
opportunity to ascend at any time. i think that we chose to be here
in 3d to assist more souls into evolution if it is their free will
choice. we are here to anchor and resonate love. we are here to be
what we are.
i love each of you so very much! i read the postings everyday and am
thankful for each and every one of you!

certain people are not properly polarized in order to make the jump

needed in order to "close the gap," between the ascenders and the
ascend nots. i dont see the reason behind the interval being so
long, and so definate, so i guess i am more likely to believe that
one would not need to wait another 25 grand.

it may be enough time, it may not. different people
progress at different rates, from my understanding of
what ra says.

well, ra says that the other densities typically last
in the millions to billions of years! so our cycles
are much, much shorter in 3d than in other cycles.
the reason for this is that the veil of forgetting in
3d renders experience so potent that we can accomplish
our objective (polarization) in much less time than
entities in other densities can accomplish their
objectives.
good question :-)

that's my understanding. this is difficult, however.
here's my understanding of why:
most people wait for the experience of general harvest
because you don't have to generate the experience all
by yourself; there is a great deal of energy expended
by the universe since it is ratcheting up at the end
of it's cycle. that way you only have to be polarized
to the minimum degree to ascend, since you don't have
to rely soley on your ability to use love/light; you
get a lot of help from the "ambient energy" present
around the time of a great harvest event.
in order to "harvest yourself," you have to be able to
use love/light to such a great degree as to move
yourself up without the aid of those great amounts of
energy ambient in a large scale harvest event at the
end of a cycle. that means, to me, that you have to
be polarized to such a great degree that you are able
to use the required amounts of love/light neccessary.
you can see why this is an infrequent event, since you
have to personally generate those energy levels for
yourself that approach those generated by the whole
galaxy and planet and solar system at the end of a
cycle.
that's kind of a guess, folks, and i'm almost hoping
somebody can correct me on that.

can you explain why? no offense, but it's kind of
rude to criticize someone without giving any reason or
letting them know where you're coming from.

again: give us an idea of what the picture looks like
to you. otherwise, you're simply taking shots at
people who have a different opinion than you.
and that's exactly what it looks like you're doing.

-first of all, please use water, as i believe it to be a more
sanitary analogy. secondly, i believe he was just describing his
meditation, and based on his description i wouldnt jump to the
conclusion that his meditation is only sts. hes just meditating on
the question, that could mean anything including sto. it seems like
you are comparing meditation to sitting on ones ass, but maybe it
just came out wrong, whatever, no big deal. i am sure many of us
have concidered the posibility of not ascending as well.

um, you are correct about the rude part. i have my weaker moments,
seth. sorry.
evidentlly you didn't get the joke either, huh, j? ;)
quite simply, i think the o in sto is not a zero, but stands for
others.
would you like a more lengthy explain?

i just don't think jokes at the expense of others are
that funny.

yeah, i would. i'm interested in your view of sto, as
you seem to have a different perspective than i.

re-read the thread j. (nothing personal)
seths says:
whoa,
before putting out my campfire joke with yellow rain,
please note that my post was a joke, not one of
serious contemplation!
s
that was the only mention of a joke.

are you with me so far? the o is for others.
sorry i have to shout, but i don't think i am getting through.

could be. spending your spare time wishing for ascention is not
service to others, but plainly service to self. obviously, this
only involves self and no other.
how could this possibly be service to others?
clearly we are thinking only of our own desire.
if you do things for that warm fuzzy feeling, is that sto....
i would say no since that feeling is your motivation.
it all coomes down to where the focus is, self or others.
sto serves the creator by serving others
sts serves the creator by serving self, believing that since all is
one, serving self only is serving god.
now, j, i would be interested in your perspective.
i hope you don't think i am too far off.

i got seth's joke. i didn't get yours:

unless that wasn't a joke, in which case i think a
little more explanation is neccessary if your goal is
to be helpful an not just to criticize.
but this is neither here nor there, and i can accept
the possibility that we've been miscommunicating and
are both misunderstood, so i apologize if i p-o'ed
you, ok? :-)

see jeff's post. while i believe you're correct,
there's more to this than you're seeing, if i may be
so bold. sts is about manipulation, drawing
love/light within, while sto is about free will,
radiating love/light out. sto doesn't mean you forget
about your own needs, it just means you see it in a
context where your needs alone are not the sole issue.

as ra says, when you reach one, you reach all. so
isn't work on the self through meditation one of the
best forms of service we can render to others? we all
want to be more than we currently are - i believe that
an honest desire to progress beyond our now seemingly
limited being is the first step on the path to
service.
additionally, if we are not clear in our own selves,
will we be much good to others?
sto doesn't mean ignoring the self, it means viewing
everything as the self. that doesn't mean that your
own self is suddenly excluded from that unified being.
> if you do things for that warm fuzzy feeling, is

i would say yes because that warm fuzzy feeling is the
way you're *supposed* to feel. the feeling is a
reflection of your action being congruent with unity.
the reason you're satisfied by that feeling is that it
reflects the truth of all, which is that all is one.
when you act in accordance with nature, you avoid
conflict and thus are happier. makes sense to me.
but, as always, my opinion.

i know and respect that this forum is centred on loo and david's
work and have made clear my support for that to long continue
elsewhere.
so this is not intended to be 'off topic'', but rather, i believe
of interest to the group:
james twyman, who many will know works with many indigo children
has been instrumental in bringing two films about the indigos to
the general public. the second one is a documentary and was
recently released to a very receptive audience. this has prompted
an amazing response as detailed in the extract from a letter i
received today from james:
"the hopi nation has guarded its ancient secrets for thousands of
years, and in recent times only small portions of their
prophesies have been shared with the public. we knew, however,
that some of the prophesies related to the new children and their
important role in creating the new world. it was a great
surprise, then, when we received a letter from the elders of the
tribe offering to share their secrets in the new indigo
documentary.
these secrets have been hidden for many centuries, but the hopis
believe that this is the right time for them to be revealed, and
"the indigo evolution" is the vehicle through which many of them
will be shared with humanity.
we thought we were finished with the film until we received an
invitation from the hopi elders to interview them about their
ancient prophesies and how they relate to the indigos. what they
told us was astounding, and the message from these elders has now
become the central theme for the entire film. they said that we
actually can change the direction of humanity, reversing the
terrible tide of earth cleansing which we have been experiencing
around the world. they told us that it's not too late, but only
if we come together now, and that the children have a critical
role to play."
isn't this entirely in line with the recent advice from q'uo that
we can mitigate the 'inconvenience' with which earth will be
'dragged' into 4d by our thoughts, and actions, and prayers?
i am mindful of ra's definitive statement that all 3d entities
must undergo what we term as 'death' - even though this seems to
be confused with the concept that the transition may take several
decades - but the message from the hopi and from q'uo seems to be
that we can ease any pain, smooth the transition, soften the
harshness of events leading up to graduation, by
love.
