Dear David & group

I very rarely post, although do read many of the messages on the
board, but I felt drawn to write a message in appreciation of
David's work today. This is not so much in light of the recent N
conversation, but more in response to the occasional negativity that
arises in messages from time to time, and the sadness that I
sometimes feel when reading it.

I just wanted to express my deep appreciation of the Ascension2000
site, the huge body of work contained on it and of David's
participation in this group. Often I think we get caught up in
details and in day to day life and forget to express our thanks to
others around us for their contribution to our lives.

I discovered the ascension website at a time in my life that was
filled with frustration and a sense of waiting, frustrated in my job
and with plenty of time to explore on-line I stumbled across the
ascension site and devoured the material it contained. I'm sure my
experience in reading David's work is echoed among many people - it
pulled together many of the thoughts and subject areas I had been
exploring into a cohesive whole that resonated deeply.

For some reason I didn't notice the link to this e-mail group until
around 12 months later despite my having explored the ascension site
extensively. By this time my life had changed immesurably for the
better, with a sense of purpose and of knowing that I was now where
I was supposed to be.

Through this group I have discovered so much more - the L/L Research
site and the transcripts of Q'uo, through a list of suggested
reading material posted a while back I first heard about the Seth
books, the discussions and suggestions about diet have greatly
interested and informed me and David's posts continue to elucidate
many of the more scientific areas of his on-line books that I
struggle to absorb and understand.

The effect of my discovery of David's work has had a ripple effect
on people I know, in particular my sister with whom I have shared
many discussions. She may not actively read this information as she
feels she is not yet ready to understand what she knows is the
truth, but she searches in her own way through conversation and I
believe she too has benefited from David's work.

I have to point out that I do not accept blindly or in any way
idolise David and his work. There are parts that do not resonate,
some of the articles are from such an American viewpoint that I feel
they do not correlate with my experiences, but on the whole I find
the articles precious, illuminating and inspirational.

So this is just a post to say thank you. To everyone on the board
for the interesting discussions and arguments, and to David for your
dedication to producing writing of such quality and for sharing it
so freely with everyone who stumbles across it.

with love & appreciation
Lorna

DW: Thank you for expressing your feelings with such clarity and
honesty. I don't want to feel that I am in a position where I need
anyone's compliments, as that can be a dangerous road as a public figure
since most of your time (even those most famous) is not around an
audience. Nonetheless, instead of worrying about those who may say I
have an ego no matter what comes out of my mouth, or doesn't, I just
want to say thank you for putting the time in to write me a nice letter.
A nice letter like this can allow me to focus on the positive and give
enough inspiration to produce new material for weeks, under ideal
circumstances. The negative will always be there and I am trying to
train myself to believe in myself more than in the voices of those who
focus on the 15% areas in which we do not see eye to eye.

I have noticed that every time I write a new book, there is a deadly
silence for a good chunk of time before the comments start rolling in,
like two weeks or more, one way or the other. I do realize that I am
writing for a particular audience that is not the mainstream, as so
frequently I hear people saying that they have "read the books but do
not understand them." As I always say internally, in order to read this
type of material (or especially to write it,) you have to shift your
focus clearly to the fifth chakra and use that for cognitive process.

Since this is the density that most people will be working on as far as
the "lessons to be assimilated" once we habitate fourth density, I think
the timing is quite good. In fact, I have had it suggested that an
entire university curriculum could be built using the books as texts.

It has become clear that if someone is looking for "lovey-dovey
feel-good" things to read, the Convergence series will not satisfy. The
fifth-density energy is of love for the Creator's mystery, in the same
way that you feel gratified by attempting to put together a complicated
puzzle, solve a weird computer problem or fix a broken electronic
device. The books must be read from the perspective of the same type of
awe that you might get if you happened to be the person who had stumbled
over a secret chamber in the Great Pyramid, and knew that you were
seeing something that hadn't been seen since it was first built. And
this is not so far from the truth, really...

I have no doubt that the Hall of Records contains much of the same
information that is in the Convergence series right now, among other
things. And there are so very many goodies that I am still holding onto,
that Light Eye David has never found in his link searches, et cetera,
and they DO all fit together - that's the beauty of it. Between a slight
revision of Divine Cosmos, working in the universal octahedral matrix,
new data points that support various avenues, et cetera, I expect that
most of this material will emerge in Book Four, Divine Nature. I have
been told in readings that it will be considered my finest book, because
here I turn my focus from the very inner (quantum) and very outer
(cosmos) and apply all of the same principles to second and
third-density lifeforms as we now know them, along with continuing to
flesh out the case for torsion fields.

The ironic thing is that no matter how well I think I know my own
research, I end up learning new things as I put it all together. So
sometimes I have just written something that I did not know minutes
earlier, but it fits so well that you would think I had been working on
it for a long time.

Also, I think that another benefit of the books is that there are so
many very good data points that a person can pick the ones that they
really resonate with, the ones that really captivate their
understanding, and work up their own unique case for others based on
their own selection. I am always amazed at how many different ways I can
argue the same case with the various data points at my fingertips. The
key for the DVD will be to bring out and focus on the ones that I seem
to mention most frequently, and to present them without speaking too
quickly and with graphics and original hypnotic music to really set up
the vibe. We are waiting on a product to become available before I will
have all the equipment, physically speaking, to begin production. We do
already have the two digital video cameras, et cetera.

Our last major upcoming house project at L/L is to renovate the
basement. This means that there is a big job ahead as far as moving /
removing things, washing the walls, repainting them and putting in
floors, walls and ceilings in certain areas, all on our own. We probably
will not tackle this project until at least two weeks from now, for that
is when our big yard sale will have come and gone. The basement project
probably will not take more than a month at the most, so there is a
possibility that we could be where we want / need to be by the end of
October. That is reassuring! We have all been working to our best
capabilities.

DW: Actually, this is valuable catalyst. I do often feel as if the
majority of my audience is American, and if you follow American media it
seems that "foreign" countries are basically categorized philosophically
- "with us or against us."

I do definitely write some articles with the hope of trying to awaken a
few more sleeping Americans from the mass-media hypnosis that they have
been living in - hence 'The Dark Night of the American Soul.' It would
be good for me to keep in mind, while writing, that these changes are
happening all over the world and are not restricted to one country,
though I do think that the pride and arrogance of the average American
will be more severely challenged by upcoming changes than would many
other countries. America will seriously need friends once this change
occurs because we have so few non-corporate farmers left and hardly any
of our products are made here. It will be quite sobering and humbling
for most.

I don't think that society as a whole is going to cease functioning as a
result of this change - in fact it works for the greater good and for
many, the quality of life will improve. Now is the time to start putting
the pieces together, sit with the future and prepare for it, with love
and joy in our hearts. That's all we can ask of ourselves. We don't have
to take in the negativity that most will ascribe to the ongoing
Ascension process on Earth.

Peace be with you -

- David
