Hey y'all,

In Huntsville I had a great conversation with Mark
Comings, who's done a lot of great research on
alternative energy / anti gravity, etc. He
recommended the book mentioned in the subject by Jose
Arguelles (who I remember as the author of one of the
first metaphysical books I ever read, Surfers of the
Zuvuya). I'm currently working my way through it, but
I have mixed feelings about it.

On the one hand, it seems like he repeats things over
and over again, and sort of just throws ideas out
there without feeling the need to back them up. On
the other hand, they are really cool ideas and as far
fetched as they are, they make sense, though the left
hemisphere of my brain would like a little more
structure. Granted, I'm only on chapter two but I was
just wondering what others' reactions to this book
were.

Thanks,

Jeremy

P.S. You can check out a lot of the ideas in this book

I agree that there is a lot of repetition in the book. I felt the same way
about some of Don Miguel Ruiz books(four agreements/beyond fear/mastery of
love). It seems they repeat it so it will create a memory imprint, kind of
like the old saying in elementary school..."if you repeat a word 17 times
you will never forget it".

I do recommend reading Time and the Technosphere, but I also recommend Earth
Ascending and the Mayan Factor...both by Jose Arguelles. Those books have
much more structure and math to back them up and are kind of precursors to
the latest. I feel a sense or urgency in the latest, just a feeling that
more people need to realize what is going on...especially if they want to
enact a global calendar change by July of 2004.

Take care,
Mark
