I think "next octave" would probably be a better term, instead of "2nd
octave".

If it's an infinite spectrum of existence, then there are infinite octaves
going
out and into infinity.

On a different note, I heard on NPR today about a new book called
"Beyond Belief" about the Gospel of Thomas, which was apparently
censored many hundreds of years ago by the church from the
New Testament. This gospel proclaims that Jesus had secret
teachings for those with higher spiritual understandings, and that
these teachings revolved around the idea of everyone and everything
containing the light of God. Very interesting...I only heard a little
bit of the interview, but I'll probably pick up the book.

I believe RA mentioned some entities being an octave
higher. I don't have any quotes to put here, but I
remember seeing that. The way I understood what they
said (which could be wrong) was that there are
entities that are a full octave higher density (or
more maybe). For example there could be 5th density
entities of the 2nd octave. So, I don't believe we
"die" after 7th density. Yes, life is truely eternal.
We are and always will be God! =)

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (a restoration of original
Christianity) has such a two-tiered system as well and maintains that such
existed in the ancient church as well. The higher level is the temple
portion and is reserved only for the very faithful. Not all members advance
and receive their temple initiatories, endowments, sealings, etc. The
greater part of what is taught in the LDS temples is done via symbology and
it is a lifelong pursuit of members who participate in the temple ordinances
to deepen their understanding. Much of it still baffles me but there are the
moments when a spark of light provides more pieces of the big picture.

Some claim these teachings were lifted from the Masons because there are a
good number of similarities in places. However, that doesn't explain the
material that the Masons don't have. Joseph Smith claimed that the Masons
had a modified/corrupted version of what was anciently correct. So in a way
Joseph Smith, as a Mason, restored the ancient temple endowments as well as
general Christianity. This surely stirred the anger of the Masons as much or
more than it did the Christians of the day.

I think the Masons could have been behind the martyrdom of Jospeh as much or
more than simply an angry mob of Christians and disaffected turn-coats. It's
also interesting to note that one of Joseph's plural wives was the widow of
J.P. (??) Morgan who was allegedly killed by Masons for divulging some of
their rites to the public.

I was challenged by a family member who chose to leave the church over this
and other things which looked really odd to him. He became convinced that
Joseph Smith was an occultist instead of a prophet. While researching many
things as a result of this challenge I learned quite a bit, among them that
many similar oddities existed in the ancient church as well. You could also
say Jesus Christ was an occultist too judging by all the miracles he
performed, etc. The Jews didn't much care for him either...

Anyway, here is one of the best articles I found with research on this
subject:
http://www.bibleman.net/Temple_ritual_sacred_things.htm

I'm convinced there were many teachings, rituals, etc. performed anciently
in the original church that mainstream Christianity knows little if anything
about and they still seem to prefer to keep their heads in the sand about
it. Seems the Catholics were instrumental in shutting much of it down or
changing it too. History has some interesting mysteries in and of itself.

In short, its interesting when the lines between purity and danger seem to
get so blurred...

FWIW,

But why all the secrecy? They mystery? The brain washing and programming?
Who really runs the Mormons and what are their true purpose?

Intelligent people need not religion...
