im sure you were all as happy as i was to see that drilling in alaska
will begin soon. personally i dive a humm-v, and i know many of you
drive suv's, and its good to see that i wont have to start any
conservation efforts soon. they should be able to drill enought oil
to last another 6 months! thats outstanding. the loss to the
environemnt is a small price to pay, there are wilderness areas all
over the world, so after all, whats the big deal.

do we really want to get into political discussions on this list?
how about contributing in a positive manner rather than reporting the
front page of cnn?
don't mean to be so harsh, but i subscribe to some politically oriented
lists - and you think we've had bickering on *this* list.

the front page? i didnt know cnn published a newspaper, ill have to
check it out. i have checked out cnnsi. speaking of sports
illustrated, has anyone seen the swimsuit issue?
btw its more than a political issue. but you seem angry, so ill let
it go.
i hear they are going to be drilling for ng under the great lakes
soon as well, and selling the water all over the world.
has anyone ever seen niagara falls at full roar, do you know that at
only flows at less 60% capacity because of hydro electric power?

not angry, but i've been using email long enough to know that people
don't interpret your email with the same tone with which you wrote it. so
please give me the benefit of the doubt. ;-)
i would simply caution anyone from starting a discussion of something so
blatantly political. you could be making assumptions about the list's
political beliefs that may not be true, and then people who disagree with
your position will feel like they have to speak up, and then you'll respond,
etc etc etc - and then we've turned from "asc2k" to "gore vs. bush 2k". and
take my word for it - we don't want to go *there*.
welcome to the list. :-)
