this being my first post to the group, i'd like to make a brief
introduction.
my name is john, i am 26 years old native of tampa,fl. i have always
been told that i am smart, a genius, etc. etc.
i am a picses and consider myself a very deep thinker. i was raised
as a christian however i have deep problems with current religious
teachings as related to current scientific evidence.
i have always wondered about eternity as it relates to god, life and
death. when i think of eternity, i think of two parallel lines. the
lines continue on forever and ever in 2 directions. theoretically
the two lines will eventually intersect at 2 unknown points. one at
the beggining and one at the end. current christian teachings tell
us that eternity is living forver into the future. in reality
eternity is both past and future.
the point at which the two parallel intersect in the future is the
end, the point at which they intersect in the past is the beggining.
both points have the same mathmatecial properties. the difference
between the two points is not the space between them or even the time
it takes to go from one point to the next. we know that there is
infinite space and infinite time between the two points that the
parallel lines intersect.
god is the alpha and the omega, the beggining and the end. who can
understand the mind of god? the truth be told that in all things
inanimate, animate, in all things the presence of god, the creator
can be found. from the smallest "quantum particle" to the largest
cosmos. in this we find the points of eternity again. from the
largest to the smallest there is an infinite and immesurable time and
space between the two.
the two points of two parallel lines that intersect at an unknown
time and place are folded unto each other like the torus. in the
center of it all, the large becomes the small, the small becomes the
large. the beggining truly does become the end as the end becomes
the beggining.
so it is in the life and death of humans. when we die we are folded
back into the reality of an eternal universe, a universe where all
things are created and destroyed at the same moment in time, the same
place in space. the process is repeated steadily at every measurable
moment, every measurable place. only when we reach the end, or the
beggining of the the parallel lines will we finally understand where
we have come from and where we are going.
