found that the icosahedron with
20 faces and 12 vertexes was a
close way to depict a soccer ball
anaology.
it's flat form, the planar
icosahedron was adopted for
"astro icosa.jpg" in the file
section, showing the soccer ball
inter-relationships mentioned
earlier.
in this representation,
the outside of the triangle also
represents a face of the
icosahedron - a flattening trick.
i also tried a plain duodecahedron,
with 20 vertexes and 12 faces,
but it doesn't have the stepping
stone effect that this file has.
i also liked how this representation
emphasizes the triadic relationships
mentioned earlier. i find it
easier to apply than the soccer
ball, find myself spinning less and
mapping more. connectingly, pat
