Hi Chris et al.,
Chris: Maybe Mawk would call that an 'imprint'. It shuffles to our
subconscious and then pops up when we least suspect it :)
Mawk: As you know I love exploring the multi-dimensional domain but symbols
coming to conscious awareness I wouldn't term as "imprinting". In psychology
the term imprinting comes from the work of Konrad Lorenz. He found that with
goslings and ducklings (interesting synchronicity here for you Chris) that
they would attach (attachment theory is growing in support too in
psychology) to a particular parent figure irrespective of the genetic
linkage. Konrad presumably had a swag of goslings following him which
inspired his term "imprinting".
For me the situation was a bit different. Rather than meditating
specifically on the platonic solids they just came up in a meditation before
I was aware of their existence or meaning. In my meditation they took the
form of a vehicle for my consciousness to travel in while traversing a
series of wormholes (the goal of the meditation was to access my future
self). In the meditation I had three clear vibration changes and with each
vibration change the vehicle my consciousness was in changed (star
tetrahedron, cube and dodecahedron). Some weeks later I found the symbols
in David's work (re: Chapter Two of Shift of the Ages) and this became one
of the pivotal reasons for me joining the group. So from my perspective I
would call these shapes universal symbols that have an array of
meanings/purposes, but in this context my understanding is that they relate
to different densities. Further, they have a relationship to the vehicles we
adopt to access the higher dimensions. These observations come from my
personal experiences which in turn have been reinforced with ideas I have
read that led to reinforcing and providing understanding to the experiences.
It is my view that all we are doing is rediscovering or remembering old
knowledge. Chris, if this process had been reversed (that is visualization
then experience) I could see how the imprinting idea could be implemented,
but alas, that was not my experience:-)
While on this theme of birds and universal symbols another I have mentioned
before is the Phoenix. I was prompted to recall this from Erik's Ra quote
"RA: The origin of all energy is the action of free will upon love. The
nature of all energy is light, including the inner light which is the
guiding star of the self. This is the true nature of all entities." In a
meditation on remembrance (reincarnation/past lives) I got a clear image of
being on a horse and dying in a joust next I took the form of the Phoenix as
I fell from the horse. Once again I had no prior knowledge of the Phoenix
and its universal meaning at the time. The point I want to make is that I
believe that the Phoenix is actually a form of our inner light as mentioned
above. Further I believe that the tarot cards in the Law of One Book 4
describe different bird poses and these poses may be symbolic of the souls
development. What do you guys think? BTW does anyone have a link to the
pictures of the tarot cards mentioned in Book 4?
Cheers,
Mawk
