most scientists believe that the presence of inteligence in an
organism is a trait dependant on a complex brain, even more, they say
that only human brains are the possessors of superior inteligence.
in my opinion inteligenfe itself is but a constant flux of
information, and since information needs a medium to be transfered
from one place to the other to become integrated into reality, energy
is a form of inteligence, or better, it's vehicle.
and energy, is all-pervasive, and if you believe in einstein's e=mc2
equation, even matter is a translated form of it.
therefore, i belive the point is clear, every material entity, being
itself made of energy in the state of flux, is inteligence. what
really set's us apart from the other manifestations of inteligence
around ourselves is the degree of practical uses we can make out of
our individual potential. inteligence in a rock will be "useless"
because of it's lack of mobility, whilst inteligence on a star is
enough to generate life itself, if we take into consideration both
time and probability.
