For those of you who use Outlook Express, when composing an email you can go
under "Format" and change it to "Plain Text" instead of HTML. You can set it
so that it defaults this way for every letter you write. HTML encoding can
screw up an email's appearance for certain people, which is why I stopped
using it. And lo and behold, when I send an email to the group, there is no
graphic advertisement attached, just plain text!
Let's start using this shortcut as much as we can. I'm sure everyone can do
it easily. Otherwise we could be looking at tremendous wait times for our
Inboxes when the list gets busy, now that they've decided to significantly
bloat their advertisements. I don't think any of us like the ten-minute wait
time for email just to come in.
Deal?
Peace be with you -
