Chris: I always hated diets-told everyone I ever met that I would never
diet. I was never heavy growing up, mind you :) Always a skinny little 115
most of the time, but I still didn't believe in diets. However, I smoked
cigarrettes. A pack and a half for 33 years. When I finally quit, I was
given the catalyst to learn about diets, because I gained a whole lot of
weight when I quit, and was never used to that weight to begin with. First,
DON'T go on a very restrictive routine, even if not on a diet, right off the
bat. Your mind isn't ready, your body isn't ready. That's only for very very
obese (more than 100 lbs) overweight people, and those severe dietery
routines should have a doctor's supervision. For a shape-up and loss of 25
to 50 lbs, here is what I recommend: 1. Vitamins-whatever food regimen you
go on, there is bound to be some food groups/vitamins you miss-one major
group is the B vitamins, because we tend to cut out all the bread, pasta,
and sugary pastry, but a good multi-vitamin should be taken at least. 2.
Exercise-even 20 minutes of moderate exercise a day will speed up your
metabolism and help you burn calories...you may not even need to diet if you
exercise. 3. Obviously, fruits, vegetables and whole grains, and lean
proteins are much better than desserts and sweets and fried fats, so eat
more healthy. You don't have to go vegetarian on your first try :) Just eat
less processed food and more home cookin' :) ooops, less home cookin :) But
you get my drift. This is just a start, and I know alot of other people have
just as many good suggestions. My opinion is that we can't go 'cold turkey'
on food. We need it to live, so go gradually with what you can handle and be
sure to exercise. Make your eating habits healthy and exercise and you will
tone up and feel better, even if you don't lose weight right away. We all
love ourselves much better when we feel good about our bodies, and just a
little discipline can accomplish this. Little steps, little accomplishments
Erik , but big results:) Love you Chris

Mikey's Diet Advice
Do not count calories, eat whatever brings you joy, for me it is mainly fruit as
I love looking at the shapes that the phi spiral can create. I just view food

ES: Dear Chris, i have no weight problem. ( 78 kilo)
The word diet was used for common understanding. :-)
I want to stop killing sacret life! ( if you kill a bug, you killed ME, ect)
I want to get pure, all the toxins out!
My distortions DEMAND it.!
I am this close.., yet smoking, drinking, eating..... doesnt really make me
transform. ( Great topic btw, listening every day to this wonderfull group)
My identity tells me i am close.. Yet my life is made out of catalyst that has
to do with addiction.
This means i ****ed up David, Jeremy and lets face it.. GOD..
But God also tells me.. that i am very close in the head.. yet my WILL-POWER is
low.
I need to get info on RAW-FOOD.
My forgiveness for SELF is amazing, thats WHY!
L/L, Erik.

" I need to get info on raw food".
For the communion with God people: I understand.
I take the first illusion as a catalyst for healing.
Need excists only in illusion.
We ARE living an illusion... until we meet the Creator.

I must be misunderstanding here, but I thought the term diet referred
to waht you eat on a regualr basis. It does not inherantly
nessesariliy suggest you are trying to lose weight. That would be
called a low calorie diet or somethig else. A fat persons "diet" may
consist of lots of fattening food. I think people are wondering to
ask what the ET or raw food "diet" consists of - Not in relation to
some form of losing weight, but actually to raise vibrations. BTW I
think David posted before on the ET diet, but is it the same or
similar to the raw food diet?

This sounds a lot like Hindu philosophy, and the
belief that one must not harm anything. I remember
Gandhi was a strict Hindu and was very careful about
what he ate- including not plucking fruit from trees,
but waiting until the ripe fruit dropped off of its
own accord. It might be hard to be that strict if you
normally purchase your food from a market. Are you
willing to go this far?
I think the raw food diet that Seth and Jeremy are
discussing means more "uncooked" than anything more
special than that. Cooking, as we know, destroys
vitamins in food-- raw is always better. Well-washed
of course, and organically-grown.
I think this also means eating things like unroasted
nuts, lots of veggies [eggplant has lots of good
proteins- and it isn't bad raw] and fruits. One can
also find raw oats for carbohydrates, and raw sugars
for quick energy. There is a cereal mix called
museli, very popular in Europe, which I think is
uncooked also [again, please correct me.]
I think that dried foods are permitted, but perhaps
Seth will correct me on this? This has lots of
possibilities in dried bananas, apricots, pears,
apples, cranberries, etc. Of course, raisins are part
of this group. A nice salad might include fresh
spinach/red leaf lettuce/spring-greens mix, tomato,
onion, cucumber, radish or bell pepper, eggplant
cubes, almond slivers, with perhaps a few raisins or
apple thrown in for a little zip. Lemon juice makes a
nice salad dressing, but some olive oil with some
dried pepper flakes, garlic, salt, etc. would work
also. Is vinegar a cooked product? [that's awful
that I don't know...] Otherwise, some balsamic
vinegar is delicious on a nice big salad.
Baba gonoush is a paste, like a dip, made of garbonzo
beans. I think this is uncooked. And it makes a nice
dip, actually, for other firm veggies like carrots,
celery, etc. You can also make tabouli without having
to cook it [bulgar wheat, parsley, tomatoes,
scallions, etc.] and this is delicious. Try with
Hummus, which is also made of garbanzo beans and
wonderful with tabouli.
Raw organic milk should be fine; you can do a lovely
shake in the morning with frozen and fresh fruits, a
bit of ice and milk, with wheat germ and raw honey.
That and a handful of hazel nuts should keep the old
fires burning until lunch.
Does this give you any ideas at all?
Again, please correct me if I've given bad advise.
I've tried the raw food diet, and it works- except I
am lactose intolerant and wound up eating too many
nuts. I gained weight doing the vegetarian thing, but
it was probably because I was doing it wrong. I tried
also the raw food diet, which worked like a charm, but
I had a problem: heart racing all the time. It
appears that switching abruptly to a raw food diet
[sometimes called "Caveman diet"] can be a great shock
to the system. I think I should have done a cleanse
first, but that's just me.
Best of luck, Erik, and blessings to all,
~lesley

I am sorry Erik, I completely misunderstood your question. Maybe Tarzan will
give you some pointers. I think Colin (?) also has some great natural recipes he
has shared in the past. Love you Chris

My Peace and Love to the Group -
Unfortunately I wasn't the one who provided those recipes, though I
wish I knew some. I too struggle with my diet everyday. I find that a
gradual elimination of unhealthy food and other vices is easier then
quiting cold turkey, which sometimes sends the body into shock and
withdrawl.
Good luck and God bless,
Colin

Chris: Thank you so much Colin, your answer gave me the catalyst to look
for our food phantom :) Tah-dah! It is Clark Stewart. Is he still here, or
did he leave? Clark, you out there? You could help Erik out big time :).

ES: Yes it gave me plenty to work with and to check out.
But when i wrote that email about raw-food i was a bit over-emotional about me
failing to work on my distortions.
And i tried to escape them by simply thinking that raw-food would change all
that.
It will help, but only if i will not be resisting my normal food, so i have to
think hard now...
Nevertheless, i have placed your email in my ac2k-save-folder and will study it
more closely in the near future.
So thank you very much for your time and creativity on the raw-food diet.
Love, light and blessings to you too ( and all) :-)
Erik.
