Golden Rule commentary

nice discussions on varied topics.

i have one request: delete dead text. dead text is like
calories on your body--very hard to get rid of it! so burn
up some calories by running some text-erasure laps with your
mouse, please.

now i have a comment on the golden rule and the wording
thereof. after a little bit of thought, perhaps a more
refined version of the golden rule as applied within the 3-d
world as it is, given the over-riding 3-d theme of "the
choice", can be expressed below, to wit:

"chosen energy spirals back to its origin."

thus an energy freely chosen by a chooser spirals back to
the chooser, regardless if it is positive or negative
energies--they both spiral back flawlessly to the point of
origin. unconscious choices would naturally engender more
negative, school-of-hard-knocks kinds of feedback, which
inevitably moves one to start making more positive choices,
thus create more pleasant feedback loops in one's life.

i figure that the nature of energy is that it spirals in its
movements, based on the awesome physics stuff in the sota,
thus there's always more of it as it moves along, thus any
energy chosen spirals back magnified.

if an energy merely circled back to an origin, then
incentives to truly change may not have a chance to be
applied, as opposed to spiraling feed-back-loop energies,
which comes back magnified, thus delivering more pain or
more joy to a consciousness unit that is in the throes of
experiencing itself and its energies chosen in its path back
to the supreme source.

positive feedback to this karmic kommentary is
appreciated--never mind the negative feedback...i have had
enough of those in this lifetime. ;-p

i think i understand what you are saying, but this actually sounds
like a punishment/reward system. if you are nice, good things will
happen to you. choose to misbehave and you will be punished. forced
choices are really no choice at all and lessons learned do not
really change the inner self, but only create a desire to stay in
the comfort zone and look for ways to circumvent the rules.

no love would be involved in this type of closed system, only fear
of negative feedback.

sounds a lot like el, the god of israel, who presented mainly forced
choices to his people.

this type of conditioning, imo, creates robots, not saints. (or
perhaps, robotic saints) ;)

do you see where i am confused?

when we bring harm to others it can only be by ignoring our connection to
them through love. if we block the love connection the consequence will
feel like isolation. how could it be otherwise? if we isolate ourselves
from the whole then we will feel lonely. we can overcome this loneliness in
at least two different ways. i call these two ways the law of karma and the
law of grace. (cayce used these terms too.) the compassionate universe is
set up so that we eventually feel the same feelings that we have brought to
others. these feelings reveal our true unity.

the law of karma means that we will feel those feelings we have brought to
others. each of us buys into this and each of us keeps score for ourselves
because it is in our self interest to do so. if we ignore our connection to
someone else by bringing them pain then this connection will be revealed
when we experience similar pain. this is the law of karma. we can only
cease from making this kind of division by choosing unity. (the world is
divided into two kinds of people; those who divide the world into two types
of people and those who do not.)

there is a less painful way to learn what others feel when when we ignore
our connection to them. this is the law of grace. the application of law of
grace is the use of conscious attention to learn empathy for the suffering
of others and to apply this empathy in our dealings with them. as this
happens our need to keep score on ourselves and on others melts away.

this "keeping score" is called "judgement". judge not, lest you be judged
is another way of stating the law of karma, the golden rule is another way
of stating the law of grace. if we set up a resonance with one form of
fear--anger--another form of fear--pain--can be expected to echo back on
the same wavelength.
