from "shift of the ages":
" In the JRR Tolkien Lord of the Rings series, the entire world is preparing
to undergo an incredible, multidimensional shift never before known in
history. "
Is this mentioned in the movies??

Hi Brian:
Not specifically, but it's very clear that the world
of Middle Earth is changing radically from it's
present state to something completely new. The race
of Man, according to both the book and the films, is
on the brink of failure because of its weakness and
moral frailty. The first crisis with Sauron and the
Ring made clear the full degree of short-comings that
Mankind had; this second crisis which is brewing is
one that will decide whether Man lives or dies, along
with the rest of the Middle Earth races. Man, you
see, is the only race left that is numerous enough and
potientially powerful enough to stand against the
dominion of Sauron. The Elves are leaving, as they can
do no more to encourage the survival of Man if he
cannot find it within himself to evolve. The Dwarves
are dwindling in numbers and their strengths and
skills are not quite what will be needed in this new
world that is evolving. The Hobbits are small and
weak, and not very numerous either. They cannot
survive without protection
All of this is in the film, but not overtly presented.

I don't think they put it quite that way in Lord of the Rings I or II. It's more
of a battle between good vs. evil.

DW: I didn't read the books but was told this by Joe Mason. Now I understand
it. The "fallen" race of men ends up uniting with the angelic / devic
kingdoms (Halflings/Hobbits, Elves, Dwarves, Wizards) to purge the negative
influence that had enslaved the planet and all kingdoms combined. The
negative turn of the race of men also enslaved the higher kingdoms when the
first king refused to destroy the main ring. So, the purging of the
influence of Sauron and the unity of physical and metaphysical kingdoms
corresponds to an Ascension.
Peace be with you -
