OK.. I am here to start a good argument.. let me have .. all you
brains.... I may have cracked up.. but thats OK because I am at least
still thinking... right or wrong.. I am thinking..... here it is.....
LATELY I HAVE BEEN THINKING THAT SCIENCE MIGHT BE WRONG ON THIS ONE
THOUGHT... THE IDEA THAT WHEN YOU SEE SOMETHING FAR OUT IN SPACE...
THAT WHICH YOU SEE HAPPENED THOUSAND OR EVEN MILLION YEARS AGO...
THAT IS A WELL KNOWN IDEA AND ACCEPTED.... BUT I WONDER.. CAN THAT BE
TRUE... MAYBE WHAT WE SEE IS FAIRLY NEW... RECENT OR HAPPENING RIGHT
NOW.... WHY... I ASK MYSELF.. why does it have to have happened so
many years ago... maybe we just do not really understand time.... OK
go ahead and let me have it... give me your ideas,,,,

Well, since we ladies must stick together :), I thought I would tell you I don't
think you are crazy or nuts at all. Theoretically, there is no time, right?
Everything is actually simultaneous, but it is our 3D brains that insert time
and see distances as we are in space/time and that's how we function. So,
scientists in this density can "measure", by 3D standards, what we perceive as
time and distance between objects. If we were out of space/time and in
time/space instead, we could see clearly that those galaxies and stars don't
have time between them because we would be perceiving from a different
consciousness level. So, I don't think you are crazy Dolores. Not at all. Chris

IDEA THAT WHEN YOU SEE SOMETHING FAR OUT IN SPACE...
THAT WHICH YOU SEE HAPPENED THOUSAND OR EVEN MILLION YEARS AGO...
MAYBE WHAT WE SEE IS FAIRLY NEW... RECENT OR HAPPENING RIGHT
NOW.... WHY... I ASK MYSELF.. why does it have to have happened so

These are good questions indicative of someone who is definitely not nuts!
The answer is quite simply that our astronomers have decided that the Universe
started with a big explosion (Big Bang), and when you have a big explosion, all
matter being exploded rushes outward from the center that exploded. Think of a
bicycle wheel without the tire. The hub is the center of the explosion and the
spokes are the bits and pieces being blown away from the center. If you were
living on a planet located at the very end of the spoke, you would look over to
the next spoke and see it as moving away from you, because it is. In fact, all
the spokes are moving away from one another.
The rate of speed gives the age or length of time since the original
explosion. The speed we are talking about is the speed of light -- which takes
awhile to get to us. The distances are so vast that by the time we finally see
the light from an object moving away from us, it is no longer there, or has
become something different. This means that no star in the sky is as it appears.
Some have died; some have moved elsewhere; some are only a tiny bit different.
We are looking at light sent out millions of years ago, as the star was once,
not as it is today.
The hub, itself, is still supposed by many scientists to be exploding, i.e.,
creating new stars and worlds. So the material near us is "old" because what we
are seeing actually happened perhaps billions of years ago. Whereas, the
Universe itself is new because it is still creating worlds we are too far away
to see. Does this help? I know it's complicated, but this is the best I can
do. Maybe someone else has a simpler explanation. Of course, ha ha, you
realize that if they ever discover that the Universe did not start with a bang,
everything I've just said is nonsense. :)
