In the context of money,
there are so many values
it is impossible to make
everyone happy.
"Money and Happiness have no
connection;
in fact, there is a connection
between Money and Unhappiness"
(J Paul Getty said that, I think)

It is humbling asking
for money.
It can be humiliating
asking for a small
amount of money,
and being rejected.

Personally, I felt
cheap giving what was
asked, so I gave what
I could, a little more.
Many times I am asked
for money. I try to
give if I have it. I
try to give what is
asked if I can.
"Ask and Ye Shall Receive."
works with cooperation.

Often I don't have it to
give but wish I did.
The greatest gift is
giving. That is what
David gave us all, that
opportunity.

I've found that one
of the best times to
give is when you are
in need, that there
is magic in giving
charity
In Times of Need.

Tomorrow I won't be
able to attend the
conference. I thought
of donating money instead
to help out sick kids,
The Ronald McDonald House.
So David's sick with
a cold, but he's not a
kid. I'll just send my
$50 to him anyways,
with hope that he feels
better. Then, maybe he
will have a chance to try
this magic: charity
In Times of Need.

(Actually, he is already
doing that, with his time
here, wasted on topics
like this.)

Givingly,
Pat
