I got ya all beat...I navigated the old
International Travel-All packed with my
ex-girlfriend and gear--inside and on top
with a stuffed canoe--all the way from
Northern California to close to Cabo San
Lucas in Baja non-stop. 40 straight hours on
the road. Hwy 1 in Baja is one dangerous
road and not a very forgiving one for a
top-heavy Travel-All. Just the danger alone
kept me awake, but I did doze one moment and
if I had dozed for two more moments, we'da
gone off the narrow, high, train-track-like
road. I had to be helped walking from the
navigator's seat to the hotel bed. :-)

I did that route in 64. But, I traveled light and
in a VW Bug.
