dear list members,

you are not in the world, but the world is in you. there is a big
difference here. the world being in you means that the outside world is
not really external at all. it is all in your head!! thats right, the
world is pure thought and consciuosness. change your thoughts and
consciousness and change the world.

the earth is not changing. the planet is not changing. nothing
outside ourselves is changing. it is our consciousness that is changing!
a pole shift is a mind shift. the world of the external is very tricky.
it lets you believe that there is an outside world with you in it,
swaying along and being tormented by its natural power. but this is not
true, this is only an illusion. the world you see is only your dream.
the key is to wake up from waking. i know what you are going to say.
"but john, how can this be, if this is my dream, did i make you and if
this is your dream did you make me? --yes, both are true. it is called
symmetry breaking and based on quantum physics. the observer becomes the
observed, the observed becomes the method of observation and so on.

raising of vibrations that david talks about is not a planetary
shift at all. it is a mind shift. first the mind then the material
follows suit. the hor is directly connected to this understanding.

well, if the outside world is a reflection of the inner world and mind,
and if both are really the same thing, does it really matter which one
you're talking about?

i agree with you to a certain extent - ultimately, this is all an
illusion; it is all in your mind. i'm not sure if anyone disagrees with
that (?). however, i think the point of a lot of david's work is to show
people who may not quite be in line with our way of thinking that, yes,
there are changes taking place in the earth even now that, while ultimately
they are a result of a conciousness shift, are still empirically observable
to someone who doesn't yet see things the way we do. i think his work in
earth changes and ascension is very valuable if, for no other reason, to
show that these changes are occuring in a manner that the mainstream
community can grasp and believe. once they believe that, they will be much
more open to the deeper lessons of conciousness and spirituality.

my main point is to assert that your ideas on earth changes (purely in
the mind) and david's are not neccessarily mutually exclusive. we had a
similar debate last year with the idea of personal and public ascension
processes that we've resolved. it basically had to do with the same thing:
is this a personal event or some grand physical cataclism? and the answer
is: well, both. you couldn't have a huge deluge or pole shift without
corresponding shifts in consciousness. and it's entirely likely that those
major earth events are both caused by shifts in consciousness and also their
catalyst.

so maybe this will help you reconcile your personal beliefs with what
we're looking at here on asc2k.
