in unity, it appears prayer could be shifting the tide...
[from "an approach to current world affairs according to edgar cayce"
by nancy webster-thurlbeck]:
"we might wonder whether our individual actions?treating others with
kindness and care would really be enough to prevent further tragedies
in our nation. cayce offers a lot of hope in the following reading
done at the time of world war ii. he was speaking to a group of 64
people who had gathered in virginia beach. here is what cayce told
them:
"`let thy voice be raised, then, as in praise to thy maker; not in
word alone but rather in the manner in which ye meet thy fellow men
day by day. for the prayer, and the living [in this way] ? by those
sixty and four who are here gathered, may even save america from
being invaded - if that is what ye desire.' reading 3976-25
"and not only does it make a difference how we treat each other, but,
according to cayce, simple prayer can be very effective too:
"`the prayers of ten may save a city; the prayers of twenty-five may
save a nation -- as the prayers and activities of one may!--but in
union there is strength.' reading 1598-2"
