as far as guns go, i wouldnt even use one in
self defense

yea, i hear ya.

i have not decided whether or not i'd
actually try to defend myself with a gun.
i'm ambivalent on this point. i've been
through many war horrors in other lifetimes
and have seen many war pics in this lifetime
and they look familiar, yet i still revulse
at such sights, though can easily function
around them, if need be.

i've read stories of high adepts who were
able/willing to lay down their lives and
simply walk away (in the spirit body) in any
case of intense interaction with a denser,
violent being. i admire that.

what if someone attacked you and you did not
have a gun, nor did your attacker--what would
you do? it's hard to guess in advance a
remotely-possible hypothetical situation,
but, in most cases, spiritual or not, i bet
that one would naturally try to act in
self-defense, rather than let someone
attack/harm one, yes? in most cases with
most people, yes, they'd act in self-defense;
in the rare cases of the high adepts, no.
