> Couple questions:
> Did you write the song?

DW: Yep, at 6AM that morning... composed in Arabic mode, which I studied in
college and frequently use in other music for its interesting sound.

> Could you post the lyrics?

DW: OK, here goes:

We come to earth
To know the beauty of our longing
And when we return
The answers are forthcoming

We see you now
A spirit in flesh clothing
You overcome
The need for endless grasping

The time has come
The solar system's changing
We all are One
The future's rearranging

You've suffered so long
And tears have been shed
But soon in your life you will find what you seek;
The truth, for which the masters bled

The prophecies speak of a Golden Age
A time of peace
Where everyone knows your name
And suffering is only a memory
And love is the truth that is known in the land
Where science and spirit meet

Jerusalem
Jerusalem
Jerusalem

- END -

> This was a very brave thing to upload.

DW: Hey, why not. I was originally going to hold this one back until a more
complete sequenced version could be released, but now is as good a time as
any. The newer version will be much less rough.

I like the buddist influenced
> resonation in the background.

DW: Well, we had some 200 people all AUM-ing at the same time, and I
purposefully had them do a "rolling AUM" so that there were no gaps in the
drone. That wasn't a band... that was just the audience!

Yes, the tone at times is a shade less
> then Mariah Carey, however, it's much better then anything my voice
> could accomplish.

DW: Believe me, I am well aware of the bad pitches that I hit - no monitor
speakers and I was distracted heavily by the fact that I kept pinning out
the speakers. Guaranteed that the sequenced version will not have pitch
problems, nor clipping that creates distortions in the integrity of the
recording.

> Kudos on the execution, it takes a lot of courage to get in front of
> a group and sing. I wish my computers speakers didn't distort the
> song so much.

DW: It's probably not your speakers, but the recording itself, which was
abysmally bad considering what it could have sounded like... I need to
remember to hold the mic even farther away than I already had when going for
the really high-volume notes.

Peace be with you -
