Hello Dear Group,
On friday June 23rd at about 2 in the afternoon I was
on my way home from work. I live in a rural area in
Eastern NC about 6-7 miles from a fairly large city.
I round a curve and about 100 meters in front of me
was a large deer standing in the middle of the road.
It was a beautiful day-very sunny. I blew the horn
several times thinking the deer will bolt across the
road-well I had to almost come to a complete stop-I
was about 10 meters away -and the deer looked at me-i
felt strange-I blew the horn again and she finally ran
into the woods. Well this afternoon at 1:55 I was
coming home on a different road and guess what-another
deer sort of just creeps in front of me and I have to
slow way down to let her cross. It is not normal to
see large deer in the middle of the day like this-I
see them often at night near the woods behind my
house- What are the odds of this happining to me twice
in two weeks in the middle of the afternoon at almost
the same time???
Anyway someone posted on strange animal behaviour a
while back-forgive me for not remembering who posted
this-maybe Gayle???
Light and love to you all-keep up the good
discussions-I love to read them when I can!
Donna B.

Deer Donna,
I went surfing last Sunday,
on a beach that's miles long.
I had a blast with many waves
to myself...as soon as I get
out, a dolphin family appears,
they are surfing the same waves
I was. I felt affirmed, like I
picked the right spot. They
played for about 5 minutes then
disappeared. They made a lot of
noticeable splash and caught some
great waves. It is very unusual
to see dolphins surfing,
especially on crowded beaches.
Pat

Donna,

Just recently was reading Qu'o about asking questions such as " how does
the animal make you feel" etc...it seems Pat took the Dolphins as an
affirmation of a great spot...what do you feel about the deer??

Enjoyyour moment of visual contact with the deer. Always watch for other deer behind the one you see. If there's other traffic going on, wave at others to get them to slow down, or flash your lights or honk, so that the deer can get a chance to get off the road safely.</span></font>

They have a pecking order and the big shot gets to eat first, then the next in the order and so on. Coyotes like to feed on the kill as well. Luckily the county in which I live takes the road kills and puts them at specific places for the wildlife to come and feed, rather than taking the carcasses to those ugly meat-rendering plants where roadkills are rendered into "food" that is dished out to factory-farm animals--none of which are designed to eat animal flesh--who then are consumed by humans. Ugh. </span></font>
