I too encourage discernment.
Yet discernment does not entail heeding idle gossip.
Discernment requires rational appraisal of fact, not heresay.
Discernment requires the function of both intellect and intuition;
neither of which function authentically when influenced by secondary
objection.
Discernment often requires more than just external analysis of
intellectual and intuitive perceptions and cannot be fully decided
until adequate personal experience.
Before you is a great chasm.
There is a bridge, yet it is narrow and the chasm wide.
At the entrance to the bridge is a Gatekeeper.
The Gatekeeper requires of you adherence to the rules of passing.
Around you is a large crowd.
Inside they are all wanting to go to the other side of the chasm but
are all afraid of the Gatekeeper and the Bridge.
They are yabbering to themself about how scary and mean the
Gatekeeper is and how dangerous the bridge looks.
There are a few people that have ignored the crowd and decided to
pass the bridge.
They approached the Gatekeeper and because their intent was true he
let them pass.
They begin to walk the bridge.
At first they are unsteady and a little frightened.
A strong wind howls at the edge of the chasm as it tries to turn them
back or push them off.
Some quiver in panic and run back to the other side.
So embarassed by their fear that they protect their ego by joining
with the crowd to say how mean the Gatekeeper is and how perilous the
bridge is.
Yet the others are strong and determined; they continue to cross the
bridge.
As they walk they become more steady and confident.
They reach half way and the bridge starts to transform.
At first it seems to be disappearing from under their feet, but then
they blink their eyes and they find themself walking upon a bridge of
golden bricks.
Their bodies become light and they effortless begin running across
the bridge.
As they near the last steps they lift up with wings and soar into the
arms of a great family awaiting them.
Now my friends, you are before the Gatekeeper and amidst the crowd.
What will you do?
Choose your own adventure.
Blessings
