<span style="COLOR: windowtext; FONT-FAMILY: 'Courier New'">Once again you have drawn me into an interesting topic!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>I have been doing a little research on ?cosmic DNA?.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>It seems that an anthropologist from Stanford University, Jeremy Narby, was the first -(I might be wrong on this) scientist to hypothesize that humans can activate their DNA through various meditative (or hallucinogenic) techniques. Narby is the author of The Cosmic Serpent, DNA, and the Origins of Knowledge (April 1998</span><span style="COLOR: windowtext; FONT-FAMILY: Univers">)</span><span style="COLOR: windowtext; FONT-FAMILY: 'Courier New'">. He bases his hypothesis on observations made in the Amazon rain forest-studying indigenous peoples who have acquired pretty extensive pharmacological knowledge through the tribal shamans.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>He suggests that, once someone taps into their DNA, that person can then communicate with other species -between animal and plants by emitting photons- and that when combined the DNA in the world forms a kind of matrix- pretty neat. This is the only scientific researcher I have come across and I am not really sure about his methods because I have not read the book.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Before I go any further I will give you some basic info on DNA (probably a review for you)<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="FONT-FAMILY: 'Courier New'">DNA is a double stranded molecule that controls all physical characteristics as well as the development of an organism from an embryo to an adult.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="FONT-FAMILY: 'Courier New'">Within the whole DNA sequence (called the ?genome?) there are smaller regions called genes that determine the primary sequence of every protein that cells produce.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>DNA ONLY codes for protein structure.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>However, the DNA code must be translated into protein code.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>RNA is the molecule that does the translating. The link between DNA and proteins is useful in studying evolution.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Because DNA is inherited from parents, the primary protein structure in closely related organisms is more similar than in organisms that are distantly related. This is true for individuals of the same species, as well as organisms of different species. For example the DNA sequence of chimps and humans is approximately 98% homologous (the same). And there are numerous genes that are identical across hierarchal ranges-i.e. the same in bacteria, worms, dogs and humans. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="FONT-FAMILY: 'Courier New'">You have heard that the Human genetic code has ?been broken?-and that we will now be able to cure all disease and live forever-BUT-what most people don?t realize is that we have the DNA sequence but we do not know what all of the genes do-in other words we have the alphabet but we still need to form words from the letters and then write the book. We don?t know how genes are turned on-activated-there is also a lot of genetic code thought to be useless-which I personally question.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span><o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="FONT-FAMILY: 'Courier New'">I have come across a lot of websites that teach how to activate strands of DNA that we are supposedly not using. Has anyone else tried this????????<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span><o:p></o:p></span></p>
