I am so sorry to hear of your pain-two possibilities (my mom had one, I had the
other) Appendicitis pain can originate on the left side...I wouldn't fool around
with that. The other is an ectopic pregnancy in which the egg grows in the
fallopian tube by mistake..as the egg gets bigger, it stretches the tube causing
pain (oh boy does it:). I wouldn't fool around with either. I am praying for
you, luv. Chris

One more possibility is an ovarian cyst. They are very painful, but taking hot
baths can sometimes make them burst. You need a sonogram to identify those. Take
care Chris

i have a holistic chiropractor but i went to here at the very beginning and
she has said maybe it was some sort of hernia (strained...the weekend before
i had moved my mother so i thought that might be it) but now it is back and
I don't even know where to start to look for a "normal" holistic
doctor...meaning one I can trust because i don't want to go get on
antibiotics that are going to make me sick ...etc..
DW: Before assuming the worst, I'd strongly keep in mind the data about how
you moved your mother - which could certainly involve exotic and unusual
stresses on the body that could take a long time to heal. Between my car
trip from the weekend before last and then some intensive yardwork with my
landlord (volunteer) this past weekend, I'm still dealing with strong
soreness in the same place as got started with the car trip.
I'd recommend lots of water, a good colloidal mineral drink like Buried
Treasure, amp up all the vitamin intakes and especially B complex, C and E,
get sunlight, and especially for the soreness take Magnesium Malate and MSM.
Sleep as much as your body wants to, not as much as YOU want to.
I'd recommend this lower-scale intervention first just for the fact that we
have a strong data point here that you could have strained something quite
easily, without even remembering how you did it.
The above is for suggestive and informative purposes only, and should not be
construed as medical advice, for which you should consult your health
practitioner of choice.
Peace be with you -
- David

>i'm an acupuncture student. is the pain a sharp stabbing? or just throbbing and does it ever move or stay in one area. if it is sharp you could have a stuck kidney stone. i have had two before. i got on herbs and it helped to disolve them and pass them. if this is the case because it has been months it is stuck and too large to pass and will cause an infection in your body. it can be other things but without you seeing some kind of doctor it is impossible to diagnos over the phone. if you find an acupuncturist that uses herbs they can give you herbs to dissolve the stones and a natural antibiotic for infection if that is what it is. it can also be a pinched nerve in the back that gives pain only in that one area. you really need to see someone. ovarian cyst is possible but usualy you will feel the pain in the front. kidney stones can pass from the kidney into the ureters which are the thin long tubes that lead to the bladder and because they are so thin they can often get stuck there and cause a great deal of pain. i only had pain and no other symptoms when i was passing a stone.luckily mine went through. you can often get more than one as well. that may be your case. two different occasions. if the pain is sharp you need to definately get it checked out be someone. not all acupuncturists perscribe herbs though. you will have to get out your phonebook ,call and ask them. good luck to you,

Tiffani, I wouldn't cancle out the kidney idea, I know you are young,
but you may be in the process of passing a stone, I had to go to the
emergency room because I was in excruciating pain in my lower back,
the doctors said it was probably a kidney stone, they told me to
drink plenty of fluids and get rest. I would go to your doctor if the
pain is persisting. Do you do extrenuous work? Could you have slipped
a disc or hurt your back? Good luck. -Tiff
