well, i'm not a lurker, but i'll speak anyway...

this is probably the part of ra that i find most intriguing and also
have the most difficulty with. the way i understand it is basically
the way you explained it: that at the pinnacle is the choice and
leading up to that is a blueprint of the types of catalyst a specific
aspect of a complex experiences (mind, body, or spirit) and the types
of evolution that spring from that catalyst.

trying to understand that from the major arcana pictures, however, is
an enormous task that takes a good grasp of intuition and symbology.
this is truly the tool of the adept, and it takes a lot of
contemplation to get to even a preliminary understanding of the
significance of the archetypes. i mean, you can give somebody a
blueprint, but if they have no idea what a house is or in what
context it exists, the blueprint doesn't help. you need to be
familiar with the concept of a house (that it has a roof, four walls,
made out of a strong material, rests on ground) before a blueprint
will help you abstract that concept of house into a something
useful. maybe that's a bad analogy.

this is an area where i have much to learn. please say something if
you can contribute to understanding this.
