When I saw that second image you posted, the one with the winged angel, guardian whatever you prefer to name them, after looking at if for a second or two I got tingles that ran through most of my body!

I've hit a little negative ice patch very recently on my road to who knows where and that little booster shot helped me a tad!

Peace,
John

Yes! That picture did the same for me. Gave me a very spooky tingly feeling.

Hang in there. We are all gonna make it through this!

Love and light,

The Belief In Hell Creates Hell Itself

Darkness is born from forgetting
our true nature
who we really are.
Consumed by self-hatred
at skills not yet acquired;
our finite natures-
we thwart progress.
Instead, emptiness
through our imagined image-
we made mistakes;
therefore we are no good
and never can be.
It is these thoughts themselves
which give us the limits;
we only failed
because we are babies of our creator
each following our unique path.
For each skill, we need learning and practice
we cannot run before we can crawl.
For every illness and injury
we need nurture and healing;
the more acute, the more we need.
It is not the weak's fault for what
they are;
we are all growing
Having a responsibility to love
Because love is what we are;
No-one can take it away.
The catholic idea
of eternal damnation
caused a chasm in humanity's mind
False beliefs injure and bring delusion
We damn ourselves
Through the mind's own prison.

Forgiveness is great and all, but Id rather forget some stuff. Cause then I would never have to think about it, which is mucho better.

This reminds me of a poet.

Stop Being So Religious

What
Do sad people have in
Common?
It seems
They have all built a shrine
To the past
And often go there
And do a strange wail and
Worship.
What is the beginning of
Happiness?
It is to stop being
So religious
Like
That.

I can understand what you are saying. The intense emotions that come with the thinking of the stuff are usually hard to bear. And you CAN try to forget it, and you may even succeed. For a while. But, eventually, the memories will come up from some trigger, and there you go again, experiencing the same feelings, sadness, anger, betrayal, etc. In other words, you will never forget, no matter how much you would rather. If you can forgive, it will wipe out the pain. It is my feeling that the forgiveness you extend to others or even yourself will contribute to your evolution on the spiritual path.
