there is a final point where we will have done as much as we can do in 3d.

> i would seem to differ....if "we" had done as much as we can do in 3d then
we wouldn't have such a small harvest? right?

dw: ah, semantics... :) what i meant to say was that when the
third-density status of the collective human energy field shifts to
fourth-density, then we will no longer have the opportunity for any further
learning in the super-intense catalyst of 3d. there's a good reason why ra
always speaks so specifically... :)

furthermore, let us never forget the wisdom in serving dispassionately.
there is nothing wrong with having a small harvest; what we have is a huge
opportunity. the very fact that the harvest is small makes this an
extraordinarily potent learning environment for those who do wish to
polarize positively at this time. it seems clear that 3d earth is quite rare
in this galaxy for the very fact that the people are so middle-of-the-road;
not negative but only relatively positive. it is a state of confusion that
leads to much introspection.

think about it - we live in a world where the most fundamental cosmic truths
are systematically denied to us by the mainstream as fantasy and
superstition. what better environment could we have to "grope in the dark
with a tiny candle" for truth? it gives us that much more of an opportunity
and a desire to strive, to have obstacles and to work catalyst. and when we
wake up, the simple fact of the degree of mass-hypnosis that we will see
everywhere and in everyone around us is extremely valuable in making us
realize that our entire third density is a complete illusion created by
pulsating, conscious, loving aetheric energy. it also gives powerful impetus
to seek the service-to-others polarity, always "holding the light" in our
own private space of love and joy.

so while we are steeped in the world created by the public illusion of
separation, we do the best that we can, always avoid "messiah complex" and
do not look for big numbers or quick growth. let the people be where they
are - if they request service then render it, if not then don't. even if
they do not go to 4d, they are having a tremendous opportunity to gain
experience at this time.

this all starts to make better sense when we gain a deeper appreciation for
ra's teachings regarding what we are here in 3d to do. read these passages
from ra that have now taken on prominent new meaning for me, from pg. 170 in
book one. it was extremely easy for me to gloss over these five paragraphs
before i was ready to receive them, because of my own heavy bias towards
strict discipline. this again shows that you could literally read the
secrets of the universe in pure form and still not get anything out of it if
you're not ready to receive the information:

"the proper role of the entity is in this density to *experience all things
desired,* to then analyze, accept and understand these experiences,
distilling from them the love/light within them. nothing shall be overcome.
that which is not needed falls away.

"the orientation [or choice of either the service to self or service to
others polarity] develops due to [an] analysis of desire. these desires
become more and more distorted towards conscious application of love/light
[energy] as the entity furnishes itself with distilled experience. we have
found it to be inappropriate in the extreme to encourage the overcoming of
any desires, except to suggest the imagination rather than the carrying out
in the physical plane, as you call it, of those desires not consonant with
the law of one, thus preserving the primal distortion of free will.

"the reason it is unwise to overcome is that overcoming is an unbalanced
action creating difficulties in balancing in the time/space continuum [after
physical death.] overcoming, thus, creates the further environment for
holding on to that which apparently has been overcome.

"all things are acceptable in the proper time for each entity, and in
experiencing, in understanding, in accepting, in then *sharing with
other-selves,* the appropriate distortion shall be moving away from
distortions of one kind to distortions of another which may be more
consonant with the law of one.

"it is, shall we say, a shortcut to simply ignore or overcome any desire. it
must instead be understood and accepted. this takes *patience* and
experience which can be analyzed with care, with *compassion for self and
for other-self.*"

so, those people who try to force themselves to be disciplined or to
overcome something end up with a prolonged process to go through after
physical death of balancing. this can also emerge in dreams. the other
majorly important caveat is that these experiences should never infringe on
the free will of others. in such cases, the imagination only should be used
to work these processes through. and once you see how easily you can trample
on someone else's free will, the benefits of meditation become readily
apparent.

again, this idea of "experience all things desired" originally was something
that i glossed over, as at the time i was a strong adherent to the idea that
discipline is so important - when i lost weight it never came back, when i
stopped getting intoxicated i never went back, red meat, dairy, white flour
et cetera same thing. however, upon further reflection and experience, this
passage is very key - and i should append the study guide if it isn't
already in there someplace.

i had a long conversation with a close friend along these lines, and we both
agreed that the major archetypal battle on this planet between the masculine
666 force and the feminine 1080 force is between fundamentalism and
tolerance. everyone reading this should be very aware of the fact that we
would indeed become service-to-self fundamentalists if we started trying to
convince others of why these teachings are correct. if we think of "small
harvest" as a bad thing, then the temptation opens up for us to believe that
everyone "should" think and act like we do. instead, we simply put the
information out there as well as we are able, all the while knowing that
even if only one person "gets it" then we've done our job.

remember that those who are wanderers at this time are also very likely
those who decided to create this setup in the first place, where we have
mixed populations from differing planets that had not yet qualified for
harvest. those in seventh-density were probably very aware of what this
would do and that the harvest would be low; yet those from sixth-density on
down still feel that there was something wrong with what happened and are
now here to try to fix it up. that is why wanderers feel a creeping sense of
*responsibility* for what is going on here - subconsciously they are still
distorted towards blaming themselves for the apparent problem.

despite this wanderer confusion, it seems clear that the higher selves of
those 3d souls who are incarnate on earth at this time knew, in some grander
scope, that this would be a transitional planet, not a harvest planet - and
that when they went on to the next sphere of influence at the close of our
own cycles, they would probably make much swifter progress as a result of
their earth experiences. ra and other 6ders are still capable of making
mistakes, as their past history evinces - and most of us on this list came
from there or from similar places.

let's also remember that before the veiling of the higher mind from the
conscious mind, the progress through densities was abominably slow,
especially for the third. so in reality, doing several "major cycles" of 3d
in a row is far, far less of a contract than our "ancient" ancestors from
early in this octave of creation. it is up to us to shed our collective
wanderer guilt and really understand that there is no shame, no blame in
this - that the 7d guys knew this would happen (i now believe that to be the
case,) and that it was permitted. the key for wanderers, then, is to
understand the teachings well enough to see that no harm was done, no
mistake was made, and things are as they are and that is ok. then we can
move into acceptance and a greater assimilation of the seventh-density
understandings of the true sacramental nature of all things.

we can't really say that third density is "bad," as i'm sure all of us have
had many wonderful experiences here in amongst our struggles. just think of
how many people keep one job their whole life and are happy with it, even if
it only engages them slightly and a more motivated person might see it as a
complete waste. just let them be where they are... you're not going to try
to send the factory worker to harvard and tell him that he needs to become a
deep thinker - just let him do what is happy. most of 3d experience is
nowhere near as intense as it is right now - so when the majority moves on
to the next sphere of existence there will be some "breathing room" for a
while. they can hunt, fish, enjoy the woods and gaze at the stars, wondering
about the great beyond. let them be there and be happy there.

peace be with you -

i have to say, that ra's perspective on desire is actually not in
tune with my own understanding. in fact based on the quote below, it
may actually be characterized as a negative or misguided teaching.
i'll take the liberty of saying this now, i am not really finding
some of ra's teachings as wise as one would expect from a being
supposedly so evolved. i think it's clear that there are shortcomings
in ra's own understanding of things, and i will just point out this
particular example to make my point.

now, the thing that got me was this...

ra says on on desire

"the proper role of the entity is in this density to *experience all
things desired"

"it is, shall we say, a shortcut to simply ignore or overcome any
desire. it must instead be understood and accepted. this takes
*patience* and experience which can be analyzed with care, with
*compassion for self and for other-self.*"

analysis is of the mind, and a real enlightened teaching would rather
put emphasis on awareness and not mind! this bypasses all need for
analysis, as all desire is the outcome of man's addiction
thinking which has blocked source. once the block is removed, all
desires, all problems, will be sorted out as a natural outcome of
experiencing "no-mind" and not the reverse. putting focus on
the mind aspect is weird coming from someone as "high up" as
ra.

from my perspective it appears ra is still speaking from a mind bound
consciousness. the goal is not "experience all things desired", but
to understand the nature of desire and it's relation to the mind
which results in the natural spontaneous transcending of all desires.
to experience all desires in this density could get one caught in a
cycle of an almost neverending seeking for experiences. the mind is
never satisified with any experiences...never. ra does not point this
out at all.

why would ra promote this attitude regarding desires is they were
really interested in us becoming desireless and awkening to the
reality that all desire is for the experience of self. just confused
on this point, and think more and more that although ra provides a
good basis for david's work, in explaining the structure of
"reality" and the scientific basis for the shift, they
aren't doing much for me as far as teaching how to wake up. i
don't
mean to hurt any feelings david, but this lack i also sense in your
work as well. i think that your sole emphasis, as you say you were
told to, on ra's teachings, and not others, may just be working
to
limit you own ability (through your works) to explain to others the
basis for making graduation and waking up to experience of self. i
notice this in your articles and readings and wonder why more
emphasis isn't places on also conveying the nature of mind as the
only problem, and how to correct the situation. my answer would be
that it may be due to your sole use of ra as the basis of your work.
just an opinion and you can feel free to disagree. is this not
possibly limiting the impact of the work you are doing?

i'll quote osho, because he, to me, is clearest on the nature of
desire and i think it's appropriate to contrast his understanding
with ra's to show how in my opinion osho appears to be wiser than ra
in many respects.

another point i'll bring up now is how ra did not suggest any methods
of meditation, even tho many teachers from this third density earth
have explained that the direct method of witnessing thoughts, with
total awareness, slows down the thinking process, which allows the
spaces of no-mind to be experienced, leading to that experience
that "cannot be put into words". why wouldn't ra explain this
simple technique which is universal in application?and really
demonstrates a great insight into the nature of mind and human beings
misidentification with that transient process of thinking. i also
notice ra states that visualization is a form of mediation. it is
not! mediation is not of the mind, no matter how nice and pretty the
visualizations are, it is all mind-stuff.

the thing is, and i bring this up not to hurt any feelings (the four
agreements come to mind?don't take anything personally) but a
friend had passed along an audio tape of david speaking at a church
down in va beach, regarding ascension. david too, referred to an
entire 30 minute guided visualization as meditation! this is a very
serious misunderstanding to me. just like how transcendental
meditation was presented as meditation to the followers of maharishi,
when in fact it's visualizations! they are not medtiating by
repeating mantras. that is all mind-stuff?again. it may help you
relax, it may make you feel healthier?but its not meditation.
nothing of the mind can be called meditation?nothing..not
visualizations or repeating om. thought i should be honest and say
this, since this topic of desire also appears to be connected to the
same misunderstandings. just think that clarity on the nature of mind
and how to experience self beyond thought, and communicating this to
others, should be at the top of the pyramid, and all the rest,
everything about the shift, free-energy, etc, comes after that.

one more time for clarification?ra says "the proper role of
the entity is in this density to *experience all things desired"

now contrast that with this osho teaching, and tell me they are on
the same level, because i just don't see it. it's funny in a
way, how a sixth-density being, an entire planet of souls speaking as
one, has not reached the clarity that one man has, enlightened while
alive during his last lifetime on earth has. in fact, if you see the
point osho makes about desire, i would say again, ra's teaching is
counter-productive, and perhaps even creating massive distortions in
ability to wake up and "know thyself"?leading many to
continue in
their "mind games" for lifetimes, in their quest to
experience all
things desired", as ra says is our proper "role" in this
density.
pshaww? cmon ra. you can't be serious.

sorry if i was too repetitive or not clear enough. these days i find
my mind has a harder time communicating at times than i used to.
it's like chunks of my mind and memory are dissolving, and
there's no one inside. but i felt compelled to at least throw all
this out there?for better or worse. feel free to disagree, just
this "monkey minds" opinions. if i have misunderstood
something
regarding ra's comments on desire, then i will be the first to
admit
it, as i hold no beliefs or thought constructs to heart. just letting
it flow out of me?peace

osho on desire:

we should look into the nature of the mind and not try to do
anything. just a great insight into the nature of your mind is all
that is needed. let me try to explain it to you.

buddha says: "desire and you will be miserable." suddenly a desire
arises: "how to be desireless? because we want to be happy and we
don't want to be miserable." and desire arises and new misery arises.
when buddha says desire creates misery, he means simply to watch how
desire arises, how it creates misery. just go on watching. each
desire brings its own misery.

you are passing down the road; you see a beautiful car just pass by --
a flash -- and a desire arises to possess this car. now you become
miserable. just a moment before you were perfectly okay, there was no
misery, and here passes this car and misery arises. buddha
says: "watch."

just a moment before you were humming a song and going for a morning
walk. and everything was beautiful: the birds were singing, and the
trees were green, and the morning breeze was cool, and the sun was
fantastic -- everything was beautiful. you were in a poetic world
full of joy and verve and gusto, and you were juicy and you were part
of this beautiful morning. everything was simply just as it should
be...and there passes a car.

it is not that the owner of the car has come to disturb you; he may
not even be aware about you. he is not trying to create any misery
for you -- don't be angry at him. it is not that the car is creating
misery in you, because how can the car create misery in you? it is
your desire.

seeing the car a desire arises: "i should become the possessor of the
car; this car has to be in my garage." and suddenly, trees are no
longer green, birds are no longer singing, the sun is no longer
there -- it is already sunset. from morning the sunrise has
disappeared; everything is dismal and dark. you are full of desire,
you are surrounded by smoke. you have lost contact with life --
immediately!

just a flicker of desire and you are millions of miles away from
beauty, from truth, from joy

just watch. buddha says simply watch. stand by the side of the road --
watch: what has happened? just a small desire arising and you are
thrown into hell, and you were almost in heaven. you change from
heaven to hell so many times in twenty-four hours; you don't watch.
people come to me and they ask: "is there any heaven? is there any
hell?" and i am surprised because they go on shunting like a goods
train between heaven and hell -- continuously! just a second is
needed, a split second -- in no time they are in hell and in no time
they are in heaven.

just watch how desire brings hell, how desire is hell. and then don't
ask how to attain to desirelessness, there is no need. if you have
looked into the nature of desire and you have felt it brings misery,
that very understanding will be the dropping of desire. just go on
watching. if it is not dropping that simply shows that your insight
is still not deep enough, so make your insight deep.

and it is not a question that somebody else can enlighten you about --
it is your desire and only you can watch. i cannot watch your
desire. you cannot watch anybody else's desire. it is your private
world. hell or heaven are private things. and within a split second
you can shift from one to another.

just watch....

buddha's word is "watch." be watchful. don't create any desire for
desirelessness, otherwise you are simply behaving in a very stupid
way. now you are creating a new desire -- and this will create
misery. you simply go into the nature of the desire, look deep into
it. watch...how it creates darkness, how it brings misery, how
suddenly it takes you, overpowers you. just go on watching.
one day it is going to happen: a car will pass by and before the
desire has arisen you will become watchful, and suddenly a laughter
will come to you. you have become watchful; the desire has not
arisen. it was just going to be, it was just ready to jump upon you
and take you to hell -- but you were watchful. and you will feel so
happy.

for the first time you will have a key. you will know now that just
being watchful, the desire has not arisen, the car has passed. the
car has nothing to do with desire. desire arises because you are
unconscious, unaware, sleepy; you are living the life of a
somnambulist, drunk.

awareness is desirelessness.

awareness of the desire brings desirelessness. and this key has to be
used to open many locks.

it is clear to me at this point in life that, we could all read the same ra
qoutes, and everyone may have a slightly different view, semantics or not.
this is our own bias of our evolutionary sum total.
so when we find issues , that this may be a sign that our own interpretation
is the reason, and why have 'we' intrepretated it this way or that way.
this runs in parrallel with ," it is no difference to take offense then it
is to give it.."

posting late, par usual....
what is an example...i feel like one example of understanding and accepting
the desire and how that is processed would help when other desires came
a-knocking.

like my desire is "_____________" this is what i understand it to
