as a wanderer, i feel it is my responsibility to be as unbiased and
non-judgemental (i.e. no polarity) when discussing spirituality and
all that it entails. this responsibility also extends into the
knowledge needed to properly discuss this. (thus, my frustration on
my last post that i couldn't seem to read enough in order to be a
viable piece of this group). developement of a singular personal
ideal is often quite frustating when all that written stuff is out
there :). my point is, that all of you quoting specific doctrines
need to read more than one viewpoint, even if you don't agree with
others. because an individual is a singular expression of the one,
each one will express differently, and that is why you need to be
yourself first, just as david intimated before. don't stop at one
channel or one psychologist or one doctrine or one person. keep
learning so that your expression is your own and not someone else's.
from within your own expression, not other things or people, emanates
your wholeness and uniqueness, which brings you closer to creation.
thanks for listening guys.. chris

i wholeheartedly agree with this. the whole point of
these different approaches is to bring *you* to a
closer relationship with god, not to follow the
leader. there is much out there that is helpful, but
no teaching can do all the work for you. take what is
useful and discard the rest.

right. the whole idea is to have an approach that
works for you personally. if it doesn't work at the
personal level, how can it ever work among a group
such as this one?

thanks for sharing, chris.

(my mom constantly tries to make me feel guilty for her bad choices)-i?m not sure if i am properly addressing your comment-when i discuss spirituality with some people-they will get defensive because i have a plan-many of my friends are more interested in the new flip cell phone or spending money constantly. so i find myself getting frustrated at these people-especially when they call me (time after time)-saying i have no money, i?ve gotten behind-or i?ll never find anyone to spend my life with- when they are outwardly focusing on material things not what is going to change the real problems so they can find true happiness.
