Thanks Seth,
I relate to this serenity.
I've been listening to sea shells,
hearing the ocean.

Shawn,

I have seen a video of cymatics, it wasn't with music but just sounds and it
was made up of sand on a special speaker, it was very cool and made some
interesting pulsing and rotating patterns.

There is an interesting essay titled Music and Consciousness on my website
at: http://www.analogduck.com/psylective/music.htm

It is quite well know that classical music effects the our powers of
concentration but I don't think it is accurate to say that sounds can change
our consciousness per se, because consciousness is absolute and sound occurs
in consciousness, consciousness doesn't occur in the brain the brain occurs
in consciousness. We don't have individual consciousness, there is only one
consciousness and that is the one infinite creator and it is completely
whole and unchangeable even when a finite world such as this seems to
compromise it wholeness.

Having said that I think it is as with the classical music quite obvious
that sound can have quite profound effect on the brain let alone on the
creation as Ra stated.

I am sure Om is a powerful sound if intoned correctly, preferably in a
working environment that is magical personality working not down at the
office working.

Not quite in the same vein is Big Mind, it is guided meditation that they
say can induce a satori experience. I haven't tried it myself yet but am
interested to do so.

I think it is at www.bigmind.org if not just use a search engine.

Aloha
Charlie

Have you checked out Jonathan Goldman's www.healingsounds.com All
kinds of interesting work being done there. Especially with 'The Lost
Chord' CD.. It sort of opens the veil with balance. Try listening to
the clips and then reading David's website..a fun experiment...see if
you understanding of the material opens in a new way. It did for me.

Indeed, my experience with the toning of Om (...Mani
Pedme Hung as well) and chanting in general is a
powerful tool for self transformation and healing.
Jonathan Goldman's book Healing Sounds
(www.healingsounds.com) first introduced me to the
metaphysical properties of harmonics. Since reading it
in 2002 I've been practicing my tibetan deep voice,
and to a lesser extent the ringing tones of the tuvan
throat singers. All it takes is practice, it's well
worth it and you've got nothing to lose.

Here's a vocal track I recorded in 2002 (with many
overdubs) after being inspired by Jim Cole and friends
(www.spectralvoices.com)...I couldn't think of
anything better to call it than "The Law of One."

Now I've just got to integrate this stuff into my
second album with beats and effects and such, in
production right now... =)

Love & Light (& Sound),

Drew,

Thanks for posting that link, I have listened a few times and like it.

How can I get to hear your first album or other of your works?

Thanks
Charlie
