><font face="arial" size="2">my thought has always been that the hilo side of hawaii (i believe the south eastern side) will slip into the ocean in what's known as a "long run-out" landslide. this will cause tidal waves 400 feet high on the west coast of the u.s. and elsewhere.</font>

according to the article, if part of the volcano slips into the
