lately for me, things have been a little rough. with the finances becoming more troublesome i find it hard to maintain a peaceful mindset. i've been a bit stressed out over the past few weeks and was wanting to change that. so i decided to have a few days of peace.

however, i know that dw has mentioned it in his audio blogs a thousand times, how many days it took for the body to be rid of all the effects of stress (the chemicals and such in the body) but i can't find it on the site any where where i can get to the information quickly. does any one recall that off the top of their head?

i wanted to try to remain stress free or as free as possible for a minimum of the days it took to rid the body of the effects. i was also going to avoid sugar and caffeine and any other drugs i didn't really need at that time. my hope was to achieve some sort of healing from the stress i've been experiencing lately.

its 3 days. but the reason he says it is to inform you of the importance of meditation. he says meditation really eases that and keeps the chemicals from running rampant due to its effects on the body if i am interpreting him correctly.

do you ground yourself when you are feeling overwhelmed? i find it extremely helpful to ground and center at least eight times a day, especially before meditation. imagine all the stress, negative thoughts and blockages liquifying and flowing out of your body through your feet, plant them deeply in the ground and ask that they be cleansed before returning the energy to you.
