i think here it would be helpful for you to bring in reincarnation into this
whole question. first, there are two experiences the self will have in each
incarnation ( there could be more-responses again welcome). the first is decided
before incarnation between the self and the other self...it usually teaches us a
great life lesson-it can be quite painful or just the opposite, great joy. the
two beings have usually "switched places" so each can experience what the other
did before. the second experience involves the energy that the self projects.
and, has been discussed before, that which you project, you usually attract. you
can attract the same polarity of that which you project, or you can attract the
opposite polarity. some lovely people, in their desire to be loved, seem to
attract the latter ("scoundrels" comes to mind:)the self may also harbor some
past hurt that keeps attracting the scoundrels, so "to know the self" is
certainly appropriate here. hope i have helped?

love...
this is my general consensus after reading many varied books on
reincarnation...alot of cayce stuff etc. i am woefully inadequate in the ra
department, which i am currently trying to improve upon :)take care chris

i dunno, i always interpreted that as pretty much the
goal. our hesitation *is* our regular waking life. i
mean, catalyst is basically moving us towards a state
where we do not hesitiate to radiate love/light.
that's the goal, and life takes you there.

that is an experience in need of integration. but
there is love in that experience.

you can be completely open in radiation while
rejecting negative service.

knowing yourself isn't dependant upon the other self.
knowing yourself is a personal process that may have
an effect on your relationships, but it is mostly for
integration. as in, know yourself, accept yourself,
become the creator.

well, i mean, i don't know... i guess it would depend
on the situation... i don't have a quick answer and if
i had one then it wouldn't be worth giving. i'm not
"there" yet as far as wisdom, love, experience,
integration, etc... so i feel really inadequate trying
to tell you how to do that, since i haven't completely
figured it out.
my understanding is that, when you're being honest
with yourself and listening to that still, small
voice, the telltale signs of negative service are
easily recognizable. it's not a matter of not being
open, of not radiating honesty and compassion, it's a
matter of withdrawing yourself from a situation where
neither the service you wish to render is requested
nor is the other's service requested. you are still
open and sharing love/light, but you are doing it on
your terms.
i guess this is not completely open, but it's about as
close as we can get in 3d. later on in 5d, according
to ra, we will see the wisdom of radiating completely
without discrimination.
and of course you always have the option of using the
negative service and not rejecting it. this could
prove to have a catalytic effect on your progress.
but you don't have to. and from your question it
sounded like you wanted to know how one can be
positive without having one's free will completely
trampled.
as always, my opinion, my understanding, based on my
experience, subjective as hell. :-)

jason gave us a great site- radianthealing.com
here is a quote from neal ryder who has the site:
the creator does not condemn us because he has never judged us. acceptance,
forgiveness, and compassion heal and open our heart. it is within our hearts,
with a physical location to focus on, that we will connect with our divine
nature, our higher self, our christ self, our magical personality, the spark of
the creator within us.
take care luv c.

there are many reincarnation possibilities.
i would vote that the best possibility is
the one which promotes service to others,
and well-being for all involved.
of course free will allows you to choose.
my favorite possibility is the concept that
reincarnation is the means by which perfect
justice is obtained. in this case oppressors
reincarnate as the oppressed, if at all.
i think this is consistent with what chris
was proposing.
this puts a smile on my face.
