Jaron's World: Shapes in Other Dimensions
Al lifelong obsession leads to the mysterious hedecatope—a seemingly impossible geometric form that, in its own small way, links together the whole universe.
by Jaron Lanier
As a little boy I would look into the bright, immediate stars of the New Mexico night and curse the immensity of space. Some of those lights must be suns that warm other living beings, I told myself. If I could only meet that other life, I would have something to compare with the singular, lonely shape of life on Earth. Then I could know a little more of my place in the universe and be a little less alone. Like many other children who had pondered the night sky, I became fascinated with the one meeting of minds we already have with the aliens who may be hiding out there, too far away for our telescopes to resolve: mathematics.
Consider the Platonic solids. These are shapes, like the cube and the tetrahedron (the regular three-sided pyramid) in which every angle, every facet, and every edge is identical. There are only five such shapes in the three-dimensional world; the other three are the octahedron (eight triangular sides), icosahedron (20 triangles), and dodecahedron (12 pentagons). This was proved in ancient times by Euclid, and it is hard to overstate how profoundly amazing this proof must have been—and remains. The identities of the five shapes, and the certainty that there can be no more than five, is absolute and universal. While it is possible that an alien would never think to ask the question, all life everywhere would indisputably agree on the answer. A mathematical proof is something anyone can do, yet it is bigger than the universe.

well lighteye you have a new friend as ive been searching for a visual to represent a notion that has stuck with me for years now. i have been studying and drawing sacred geometry forms for a few years and have found that by gazing at stereographic representations [i have drawn these two ways] of the hypercube i can really get these things moving. leading me to remember ouspensky's idea in "tertium organum" that animals [whom must be experiencing a two dimensional reality] perceive all movement as being alive, hence the dog raising hell over the dastardly cars which invade it's territory. it seems this motion of a 3d object in 4d is my limited way of viewing the 4d notion of "everything nowness". anyway the link to wolframs page and the subsequent viewing of the 4d polyhedra has given me an insight which my vocabulary cannot describe. although i must say as a visual artist this little gem has helped me immensely. i think its time to abandon my idea of representing this in drawings and proceed with sculpture which very well may consist of parabolic mirrors or lenses [although i know almost nothing about them].
note: did you notice that as the complexity increased, so did the speed of rotation?
Spiral of Light

This past weekend, I found a quiet spot to sit and plant my feet in the grass beside beautiful Sydney Harbor, where I could meditate in the glorious warmth of the sun, listening to the quiet lapping of the water and the songs of the sea birds. When I stood to leave, my attention was caught by two silvery jellyfish slowly pulsating past me on the surface of the water. Each had upon it the distinct marking of a star within a circle, and I marveled at the wondrous examples of sacred geometry found in nature, and the silent message they seemed to be giving me. .....just had to share this moment that I am still savoring.
Love and light and peace to all,

Does Geometry in your food count as well? I know it's trivial, but would that be synchronicity as well?

wait a sec!...rewind to the VERY BEGINNING...
I can think of one other thing the Vesica Pisces looks like:
"For throughout the ancient world, the significance of the Vesica Pisces was not merely symbol but synonym for the yoni or vulva of Creation. It was called the vessel of the fish through the innocent and even holy assertion that a woman’s sexual secretions smelled of fish and the widespread belief that it is from the Ocean that all things are born."

i find sacred geometry facinating. i had posted a couple of videos by drunvale melchezidec who is describing sacred geometry to more lengh than these videos did. they were placed in the thread "unknown ancient(sacred) geometry" and would be in the last page of that particuar thread.

Speaking of sacred geometry, I found something that REALLY excited me on the crop circle connector! It would be the crop circle formed on August 18th 2008. It was a three dimensional Merkabah inside a Merkabah!

Seeing in four dimensions
By Julie RehmeyerWeb edition : Friday, August 22nd, 2008
Mathematicians create videos that help in visualizing four-dimensional objects.
Three dimensions can be so limiting.
Mathematicians, freed in their imaginations from physical constraints, can conjure up descriptions of objects in many more dimensions than that. Points in a plane can be described with pairs of numbers, and points in space can be described with triples. Why not quadruples, or quintuples, or more?
There is the minor difficulty that our nervous systems are only equipped to conjure images in three dimensions. But that doesn’t stop Étienne Ghys of the École Normale Supérieure in Lyon, France, from visualizing the four-dimensional dynamical systems he studies: “I live in dimension four,” he says.
And you can too. Ghys has now created a series of videos teaching others to visualize four dimensions the way he does. His work is in collaboration with Jos Leys, a Belgian graphic artist and engineer, and Aurélien Alvarez, a mathematics graduate student at ENS Lyon.
This was amazing... I always do better with a visual representation, and found this fascinating...

VERY nice. Thanks for sharing.
For people who haven't checked it out yet, it starts off a little slow, but it's worth watching the early parts so that the later sections make more sense.

Hi David,
Thanks a lot indeed for such a great movies – they are really in a big help to see our reality as projection of multidimentional energetic fields. But I have spotted some other very interesting facts:
1. They are using “Lizards” as the ones who lived in less advanced space and could not see the higher one.
2. Each part of the movies has 13min long – 1 to 13 are vibrations of the Universe (Mayan new this)
3. There are 9 parts in the first serial – 9 are the code of Mayan pyramids which indicate 9 developed levels of consciousness.
I find this symbolism very intriguing? Do not you think?
All the best from Vladimir.

errr confusing. I'm finding it hard to believe that people are understanding this. Its hard for me to grasp what objects are going to look like. Really how can you unless you are in a different Dimension. Well we will see come 2012.

SACRED GEOMETRY AND SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT:
How to Track the Geometric Effects of Spiritual Practices
By Robert J. Gilbert Ph.D.
SACRED GEOMETRY: THE CRYSTALLIZED THOUGHTS OF GOD
Having a correct understanding — and reverence — for what Sacred Geometric forms really are requires knowing their source. The true essence and foundation of our world is pure consciousness: the Mind of the Godhead, that unified source of all Being whom the ancient Greeks called THE ONE. Both ancient spiritual traditions and many modern quantum physicists agree on this point, that consciousness is the foundation of the manifest world. (1)
The Thoughts in the Mind of God are pure patterns, which crystallize into the physical world — the world of Form — in the form of Sacred Geometry. Initiates into Sacred Geometry know that each of these patterns, these Sacred Geometric forms, holds specific powers of God. Every Power / Intent / Quality of the Divine Mind crystallizes into a form which is a revelation of its core pattern; the most perfect of these thoughts/powers in the Mind of God manifest as the most perfect and profound forms in Sacred Geometry.
Working with Sacred Geometry is in reality a Communion with the Mind of God.
Initiation into Sacred Geometry is a process of learning the form and function of these divine patterns, and how to practically apply them. Fundamental forms (to name just a few of the most obvious ones) include:
* The Sphere (the Primal Container for Energy and Consciousness);
* The Torus (the Primal Form to circulate energy dynamically, while keeping stable the perfect Spherical field of energy);
* The Spiral and the Vortex (Nature's form to move energy and consciousness from one location to another, through linking together straight line and curved movement);
* The Five and Six Pointed Stars (Primal 2-dimensional forms related respectively to etheric life force and to the astral body of consciousness);
* The Platonic Solids (the Five Perfect Transformations of the Sphere: each carries the power of one of the 5 Elements which create our world) and their star transformations such as the Star Tetrahedron.
There is of course a wide range of other important patterns, including many which are not found in standard geometric texts.

This Gilchrist video outlines the artist's successful strategy for making Mandalas with people who can't quite survive without outside assistance. Includes: (#1) an introduction to the basic concept, (#2) an Open-Eyed Meditation based on Mandalas by the residents of Ennis Court, (#3) details of the process captured live, and (#4) a call to action. This is Art Therapy at the transcendental level.

The Divine Proportion: An Indecipherable Code
By Leonardo Vintiñi
The newspaper, the screen of your computer, your credit card, the petals of that flower, the leaves of that tree, the building across the street—everything is governed by a principle, a proportion, a harmonic value. The universe seems to whisper a code to us in each corner of nature, a unique and harmonically aesthetic code: the Number of Gold, the Divine Proportion.
Behind the apparent chaos that reigns in the universe, in which each event and measurement logically follows an uncertain destiny, there nevertheless exists a hidden order. From the time of Pythagoras, the key to this order—which has intrigued so many mathematicians and scholars of various branches of knowledge— has never been fully understood.

Vid info:
"The research of Callum Coats takes us on a journey through the life and inventions of Austrian ecologist Viktor Schauberger (1885-1958). Now, for the first time, you can view the evidence in this detailed, three-hour illustrated lecture presentation on this two video set. Viktor Schauberger was a genius whose ideas were far ahead of his time. He worked as a "forest-master" in the Austrian Alps when they were still a true wilderness. This experience was to influence his entire life's work. Schauberger prophesied the environmental crises we are seeing today, predicting that unless we start to cherish rather than exploit our world, we would surely destroy ourselves. He demonstrated how deforestation would deplete the world of water, causing deserts and climatic chaos. Asked about our technology, "How else should it be done?" His answer was "exactly in the opposite way that it is done today!" His maxim: "Comprehend and Copy Nature!" From his precise observations of the processes of Nature, Schauberger pioneered a completely new understanding of the nature of water as the most important life-giving and energy-empowered substance on the planet. This led him to develop a radical new science which flew in the face of conventional scientific thinking but which, today, is being increasingly recognized for its highly-relevant implications for civilization. Viktor Schauberger might have made a career as a brilliant inventor. Forced, for a time, to develop radical new forms of propulsion for the Third Reich , he went on to work on devices utilizing the principles of implosion -- hundreds of times more powerful than conventional power sources. Even in the weeks just before his death, US government and commercial interests were exerting pressure on him to reveal his secrets. Schauberger's deep insights in the special properties of water and nature hold immense implications for future technology and ecology."
