vincent bridges and jay weidner have written about the alchemist fulcanelli in their book ‘the mysteries of the great cross of hendaye’. as the authors explain, fulcanelli was an alchemist who was one of the first to write about the ‘mysteries of the french cathedrals’.
my research reveals that a lot more 2012 mysteries have been encoded in the french cathedrals than those previously exposed by the former writers.
the great celestial conjunction of 2012 (galactic alignment) has been embedded within the architecture of the cathedral itself along with its alignment to the solstice sun. just like rosslyn chapel, the eight pointed and four pointed rib vaults have a story to tell.
within my latest article i will reveal that the great celestial conjunction (and galactic alignment) has been encoded in:
- the zodiac of chartres cathedral
- the zodiac window in the ambulatory of chartres cathedral
- the black madonna veneration
- the labyrinth of the cathedral of amiens

thank you for another amazing article. your work is some of the best i've seen on these topics!
dear jan and everyone,
i found this site recently that incorporates much historical background by those familiar with steiner. some of the areas covered do not appear to cover all aspects of his teachings, however, they do their best using his elaborations of "lucifer and ahriman" as overlords of chaos.they advise people to see the wks of ravenscroft who was an actual student of one of steiner's own students, walter stein.
(jan- steiner left the theosophical society due to differences - the material may be of limited interest to you.) please pm for url , not sure if acceptable here or not due to controversial opinions expressed in relation to yahweh, ufo's, etc. nina
this is from their coverage of craftmasonry:
"these architectural feats were designed and built by craftmasons who were privy to the secret of mankind's destiny. of particular interest are seven cathedrals....these great cathedrals, these gothic masterpieces conceived by the minds directed by higher hidden hands, represent the apocalyptic configuration in stone."
they shared:
"the modern view of the zodiac and constellations is that they are simply distinctive, easy-to-remember patterns of stars as seem from earth that provide a system that allows easy location and identification of individual stars. moreover, the origins of the symbolic sky maps lay in ancient china and egypt. these ancients were seduced into thinking that the stars are positioned in such an order that a relationship between them might be established and by linking particular patterns or groups of stars they used them for understanding the universe through the creation of mythology. the zodiac and constellations are thus, say modern commentators, merely patterns invented for easy identification and any relationship is purely superficial since their apparent positions are only relative to the position from which they are viewed from earth. moreover, although the constellations have no scientific or meaningful significance, astronomers have retained them as convenient visual reference points; for it is much easier to speak of a star in plaedies or the orion nebula, for instance, than to give its geometrical position in the sky. where modern minds simply see points of light in pretty patterns these very same light structures lit up vivid pictures in the ancient mind: it was such images that were later carved in stone by the gothic craftmasons on the portals of the great medieval cathedrals of europe. these images are the mythological constellations of the zodiac that today are perceived as primitive fancy.

by the middle ages, the old picture consciousness that had atrophied in most people was still available to exceptional individuals and those who undertook the arduous initiation procedures at certain religious centres. the materialistic urge towards scientific investigation overwhelmed the ancient consciousness that perceived a sublime moral order within the universe. men became intensely aware of himself as an object, became acutely self-conscious, as his investigations of nature and her physical laws produced useful theories. the rational faculty within his brain had overshadowed that part that nurtured the picture consciousness causing men to believe that thinking arose purely from the physical brain. thus, there was a reversal in the primacy of the two modes of consciousness, the intuitive and the rational within the human brain. in modern psychology, this dichotomy has been discovered anew and modish theories have attempted to describe this fact of evolution. the left hemisphere of the brain is described in the modern paradigm as the home of the masculine, active, intellectual, analytical, linear, sequential and causal. in contrast, the right hemisphere is considered feminine, receptive, intuitive, holistic, non-linear, simultaneous, spatial and acausal. proper integration of both, according to modern theory, results in healthy productive individuals.
pineal gland third eyethe craftmasons of the middle ages were privy to the ancient gnosis that prepared them to be fully aware of the supersensible realities behind the physical world and to which the five senses were ignorant. using this knowledge, they were able to apprehend the spiritual hierarchies that overarch physical existence and to pour this knowledge into every aspect of their work. the masters of the craft were fully cognisant of the fact of the dichotomy in the human brain. they understood the nature and function of both. thus, they regarded the right hemisphere of the brain as a counterpart of the left hemisphere with which man reflects with his rational faculty upon the physical world in which he lives. for, these masters understood that man orientated himself with the spiritual hierarchies using the innate faculties within the right hemisphere, and thereby apprehended the higher dimensions of the spiritual world. the medieval masters of craftmasonry who built the great cathedrals of europe literally set in stone this ancient knowledge of the human condition. they also put into their great work other knowledge that is most relevant to the contemporary generation. not only did they tell of things past but also they told of things to come."

dear nina,
thanks for your elaborate reply. it confirms my research results that the gothic cathedrals contain a message about the end of time, hence 2012.
this message need not be a message of doom, since the apocalypse only means the revealing and that's exactly what is going on in our current time.
the time of revelations is now, and all esoteric and occult things will be brought to the light for anyone to see.
apocalypse (greek: ποκάλυψις apokálypsis; "lifting of the veil"), is a term applied to the disclosure to certain privileged persons of something hidden from the majority of humankind.

we live in fascinating times,

indeed, a recently re-discovered phenomenon concerning the 'notre dame' class of cathedrals in western europe is that the 'nave' arches incorporated within an individual cathedral are tuned varyingly to resonate, as with the chords of a pipe organ, in diatonic musical resonance. this alone speaks to the mastery of the occulted yet illuminated status of the planner/builders, almost 1000 years ago. mark
