Try this for 1 week and tell me if you aren't happier:
Instead of listening to the radio, thinking about work, getting mad at traffic, and killing time do this.
As you drive in try (as much as possible given our morning minds) to say: "I love you" to every car and person you see.
If there are too many cars just send that feeling in a wide direction (from your heart) and chant the words (outloud or in your mind).
One very hepful aspect of this is it creates contrast in your mind, as you try to express love for your fellow commuter often another part of your mind will be swearing at them for what they just did. Through the consistant application of will you and dramatically reduce these negative thoughts and their unpleasant effects.
I did this for a few months and I found it had an effect on both myself and the cars around me, people let me go, were less aggressive, and eventually I found myself laughing with pure joy during my hour long commute. It's like a childs joy, unhindered by adult cynicism.
If this message found you good reader, perhaps it's a signal you should try it
