Vision/Information obtained through Meditation?

Is this the proper place in the forum to have a discussion about information "given" to me during an impromptu meditation session?

I'm sure everyone here has had their own experiences and I don't claim to be unique.......I would just welcome an audience and intelligent feedback.

i'm brand new here

the first time i came to this forum, the first thread i saw (in the first board i opened) was yours: about receiving information...

that is exactly what i came here to discuss, so there's definitely some kind of synchronicity going on, which means we are supposed to be talking about this. (of course, this doesn't mean we're "special", this sort of thing happens to everybody)

here's what i have to say about this:
do you know anything about [please pm amman for name]? he is a spiritual guru and vedic astrologer, and about a month ago he started saying (on youtube) that on July 17th (full moon) there would be a coming of "grace light". By this he meant people could start learning things by divine connection, in his words, "without going to school".
My interpretation of this is that this is something that is really happening, and the idea of the full moon and the date are just this one man's interpretation (through his perceptive lens) of something very real that is happening and increasing as of late.

What are the sort of things you have received?

i want you to know that i totally agree with you that this is not something that makes one "special" but in fact everybody can do it.

the most significant thing i've recieved is a sort of prayer/meditation. i came to this forum to share this with people, and look for help defining it in words (i'll start a thread about this when i feel ready). Came here because it has a lot to do with what David is saying, especially about large group meditation. I've also received weird little things, one was a math equation...

one more question, if you don't mind me asking,
what sort of practices were you doing when the receiving happened?

Hello All

I am fairly new to the forum, so I was really happy to find this thread!

I have just started meditating. The second time I meditated I saw the color violet/dark purple sort of rise up in gentle, slightly rippled waves. This continued for some time (don't know how long), and then I saw a small white circle with violet/purple lines around it that evolved into a flower.

It was a truly amazing and beautiful experience, but I haven't a clue as to what it meant.:confused:

On another thread I read that colors pertained to thought forms (not sure which thread, I had read SO many). If it was a thought form, how do you know what thought form it was??

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.:)
