good morning everyone,

usually when i get bitten by mosquitos it drives me crazy. the bites itch a ton and i end up scratching them until they bleed sometimes.

once around 20 years ago i was with some friends in a park out west. we were just hanging out in a jungle gym chatting. then the mosquitos showed up , there were dozens but my friend said to just ignore them. so i did. i'm sure i got bit a gazillion times but it never itched. i put it down to the fact that it was early in the season and they were young and weak.

lately though i've been doing a lot of gardening around here. the time i have available to do it is before work and after work. mosquito hour! but there's a difference. i started thinking that hey mosquitos are just trying to make a living like everyone else, and they are also food for birds and frogs and things that i love so instead of frantically trying to swat them i've taken a different approach.

i basically have been saying to them , just take what you need but don't leave any nasty itchy stuff in me when you go. it's working! i haven't felt an itch in days. yesterday i went raspberry picking and they showed up again.
same result no itching.

i'm not so sure i want to test my theory with black flies :d but i will try if the occasion presents itself.

have an awesome day everyone.

love,
megan

nice application of the law of one there ;) ive recently been trying to telepathically communicate with geese along the canal when i go jogging.. along the lines of 'i am you, i created you and me, we are the same mind' lol fun... some animals can read humans like an open book.

this same premise works with dogs, too. i had been sitting quietly, meditating by the harbor when someone walking their dog threw a stick in the water right beside me. naturally, he ran into the water barking and came out shaking his wet fur everywhere.

it was cute and fun to watch at first, but after a while it was time for either the dog or me to move on. i sent him loving thoughts that included 'you are having so much fun, but you really need to go play over there on the other side of the cove....go on, now.' almost immediately, the dog began to enter and exit the water from a different spot on the shore, no matter where his owner threw the darn stick! ...never really paid much attention to me, just seemed to hear my message and acted on it.

ha! i'm glad i read every thread, i too have recently had a change in heart about insects and other animals. where i live we have a bad ant problem and have also recently started having mice problems also. the ants crawl all over the house around our computers and counters and such. well after coming to realization that we are all one and killing of any creature is bad i have stopped trying to get rid of the ants. now they no longer crawl on my computer desk as they once did. instead i find 1 or 2 crawling on me at anytime of the day, i peacefully ask them, as if they were a good friend, to please return to the inanimate objects around me. this has seemed to work because they seem to understand when i put them on my finger and put my finger to the floor or other things they walk off of me. this has happened time and time again and i have begun to feel that they can understand that i do not wish them harm though i do want them off of my body. also the mice use to hang out behind my desk, always worrying me that they will bite through a cord. once i stopped worrying about this they stopped hanging out behind my desk and i see them not near as often as before. i'm not sure if this is really what i think it is but i'm becoming more and more convinced everytime it happens. thanks for a wonderful thread megan!

love and peace!
