hey all,

below is a link to an article that i strongly recommend. while it is not something related to "normal discussion" here, i would say that it would apply to many of us seeking for truth in this "internet age". it was written by a college professor as he observed the behavior of some of his students. there are analogies and references to works of literature that i wasn't familiar with, but all in all, the gist of the article is easy to get...

to be honest, i was "living this way", not as a student, but as a seeker... (refer to my lastest post about reflections and lessons - this would be an appropriate addendum to that thread - likely why even though i was aware of those "lessons" i didn't necessarily apply them when i should have  ...) at any rate, this opened my eyes to this behavior and now that i'm aware of it, i can work to correct it...

i hope you enjoy!

:dthis might sound crazy, but just what i needed. i cant help but laugh out loud right now. art, i came here today to allow myself some time to dwell in 'me time', feeling guilty because i might be putting something off in the rl. that i could be doing, like school work:rolleyes: i should be looking for resources on articles pertaining to what your article talks about, i can already see that i can use this article in my essay. so, after this quick post im off to finish my rl life project, if you will...ive had a hard time finding article like this, so ive been saved from the dredge of searching more numerous articles (ty!)....so i am off to a nice return to responsibilities knowing that i have what i needed, *laughs* so strange...the reason i laugh is because i didnt expect to get this from here, and i bet art sure didnt expect i would need it.

interesting article, art, and i did understand all the literary references, having been an english major myself. i read this article just after watching alex jones interview david icke, and there was one bit where david i. said he was lecturing to a bunch of oxford students and it was almost impossible to get through to them, they had been so programmed and their view was so restricted.

the teacher in the article talked about those students who did what was expected of them by authority figures, and those who did what they loved. not suprisingly, those whose hearts were free were more successful. this teacher had no clue about what's happening behind the scenes but he successfully identified the disfunction of the students in their mad rush to stimulate themselves to the max, running and never stopping.

i could go on, but won't. thanks for posting this.
