hello

who is moving the pendulum when i ask a question for a yes or no-answer with a pendulum (could be a key, a stone anything that sways hanging from a cord) i've been reluctant to do this, searching more complex oraclemethods as astrology, i ching, tarot, but now that i'm certain about the spiritual connection i feel more confident in doing it, but sceptical also..too "simple". been trying it for a month and so far it seems fairly consistent...

is it "my higher self", deceased spirits or "higher entities", or all of them on different occasions? i don't want to ask certain questions though, fearing the answer, or fearing it's wrong coming from a "not so highly developed entity on the other side" and just creating confusion...

anyone having any experience from this?

i have used the pendulum for many years now, and from what i understand, the answers come from the subconscious. it's supposed to be moved by subtle movements of the physical muscles, but actually i can't believe that explanation because sometimes the pendulum will swing wildly before i even get the question finished, and it's not within the realms of physical possibility for it to do that.

so if it's not a physical movement that makes the pendulum swing, it has to be energy. the higher self is that part of us which is connected to the conscious self, not the physical brain, which is just a vehicle for the conscious mind. and it must be the energy which is what moves the pendulum.

ok, i'm not good at giving explanations, but i can give you my experiences, and you can deduce from that. if i ask it questions like where is an object which i lost, the answer usually is not correct. if i ask it a question that is emotionally charged with my desire for a specific answer, the answer will usually be what i want it to be.

so i found that it's not much use, because i can't trust the answer. however, in a healing situation, where i'm not invested with the answer, and there is a genuine desire to help, the pendulum is useful and almost always correct. so i guess intention is the key.

when i used to do crystal healing, the pendulum was used to open and close chakras and to balance energy. i was taught to do certain things, and i did them without questioning. the healings were always successful. so it always comes down to getting out of the way, which is difficult until you get the hang of it.
